CAIR is accusing prisons in Virginia and Mississippi of failing to accommodate special Ramadan meals and time schedules for serving them. (Which means staff has to provide breakfast for Muslims before the crack of dawn and dinner for them after sunset, for the entire month)
During Ramadan, Muslims fast from dawn to sunset, abstaining from food and drink. Jails are expected to prepare a breakfast meal just for Muslims before dawn and an evening meal after sunset. Over the past week, CAIR has received complaints from incarcerated Muslims at a Virginia prison and a Mississippi jail who allege that their respective institutions failed to provide inmates meals at the Muslim-designated times.
In Virginia, inmates alleged that they did not receive evening meals at all for two days and that their breakfast meals arrived too late for them to eat. In Mississippi, inmates received their breakfast meals too late.

In jail they should lose privileges. If we must accommodate, let them take their grub back to their cell & save it till the gluttony hour. If they make a mess of it somehow, back to normal schedule.

Once you end up in prison, one should only retain Constitutional rights to the extent that it does not require an accommodation from the warden.

He said he was placed for a time in a small metal cage, not given water for a whole day, and deprived of both his glasses and a Bible for several days.
He claimed he was strip-searched repeatedly, spent many hours in solitary confinement and was made to sleep on cold concrete.
Some prison guards were respectful and even intimated to him their belief that he was a political prisoner, but he said others exhibited cruelty.
Protests gathered daily for more than 40 days outside the jail, which he said prompted the prison administration to punish the other inmates on his behalf by placing all of them on lockdown.
“They were punishing the entire prison because of me,” he said.
“And then they paraded me in front of the inmates, saying, ‘That’s the guy. You’re being punished because of him. So if you have a chance to do something, that’s the villain, that’s the guy.'”
“And I think that was the scariest time,” he added.
“I was told by inmates, and they’re willing to testify, that they were approached by different people from within the administration — and the guards bribing them with different incentives to beat me up,” he said, recounting how his cell door would sometimes be left open, which terrified him…….

The Prison system overlords should tell Cair to go suck on their goats teet as they have no power over the American Prison system and if these jailed muslims wish to not eat at Lunch then thats up to them but the idea that Prison Staff have to arrive early and make them breakfast before everybody else and D inner when they demand it is way out of order.
Let them hold on to their food of Dinner and use it for Breakfast… there problem solved..

I do. Ghulam should look at the ratio of Muslims in prison to their population numbers in any non-Muslim majority country and it’s always higher than any other population.

FACT: In America and elsewhere, most Muslims are in the slammer because of “trumped up” charges. They probably did a crime worth a speeding ticket but got sentenced to serve 10 years.
