The attempt continues — sacrifice excellence and competence on the alter of skin color diversity. Isn’t that great? We dumb-down math (and all courses related to reading, writing, grammar, etc.) so everyone can pass. In a very short time we will all be privileged to ride in an airplane designed by folks who believe mathematics is a “white” subject, and that 2+2= whatever they feel it ought to. Talk about racism!

COVID-19 vaccine mandates for pilots violate federal regulations and place pilots and passengers at risk, according to a letter from the California-based Advocates for Citizens’ Rights. The group cited multiple cases of pilots being injured or dying after the vaccine.
…………………Cody Flint, also a signatory of the letter, described his experience. Flint, based in Cleveland, Mississippi, is an agricultural pilot with 10,000 hours of flight time. He testified at a Nov. 2, 2021 U.S. Senate hearing on COVID vaccine injuries about the adverse effects he sustained.
Portions of Flint’s testimony were quoted in the letter, including:
“I have been very healthy my whole life, with no underlying conditions.
“I received my first dose of the Pfizer COVID vaccine on Feb. 1 [2021]. Within 30 minutes, I developed a severe stabbing headache, which later became a burning sensation in the back of my neck.
“Two days after vaccination, I got in my airplane to do a job that would only take a few hours. Immediately after taking off, I knew that something was not right with me. I was starting to develop tunnel vision, and my headache was getting worse.
“Approximately two hours into flying, I pulled my airplane up to turn around and felt an extreme burst of pressure in my ears. Instantly, I was nearly blacked out, dizzy, disoriented, nauseous and shaking uncontrollably. By the grace of God, I was able to land my plane without incident – although I do not remember doing this.
“My initial diagnosis of vertigo and severe panic attacks – although I’ve never had a history of either of these – was later replaced with left and right peri-lymphatic fistulas, Eustachian tube dysfunction and elevated intracranial pressure due to brain swelling.
“My condition continued to decline, and my doctors told me that only an adverse reaction to the vaccine or a major head trauma could have caused this much spontaneous damage.
“I’ve had six spinal taps over eight months to monitor my intracranial pressure, and two surgeries, eight weeks apart, to repair the fistulas. I have missed nearly an entire year of my life … I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to fly again.
“…the FDA, CDC, and NIH [National Institutes of Health] refuse to acknowledge that real lives are being absolutely destroyed by this vaccine.”……..
…………It also cites the case of a Canadian flight in December 2021 that was forced to divert back to the airport shortly after takeoff because the pilot, who was recently vaccinated, passed out.
In other testimony from the November 2021 Senate proceedings, Long said the U.S. military was aware of the risks to its pilots, but chose to proceed with its vaccine mandate for service members……….
Long said numerous soldiers told her about “threats and intimidation” they faced to get the vaccines that were still under the EUA………..

I for one do not trust the followers of islam. When recently boarding a flight i saw a burka wearer in line. I asked the gate person if she has had a ;level three patdown. HJe could not answer. I took another flight. Sorry folks I just cant trust them

I am appalled that the once great Gray Lady whose journalism was second to none, and which built my vocabulary and writing style from sixth grade to the end of high school, has turned into a rag that’s only suitable for lining a birdcage.
In sixth grade, my teacher had each person in the class get a subscription to the Times and bring the newspaper to school. We read the paper every day, and she dissected it, pointing out how unbiased journalism is for the main news and how the Editorial/Op-Ed pages were for opinions, political bents, etc. She compared The NY Times’s structure of the articles and its use of vocabulary to that of the Daily News, Newsday, the Post and other mainstream newspapers. In sum, she showed that The NY Times was a newspaper to emulate and was a model of good journalism.
Well, now, the paper is a pure woke opinion rag and a model for journalism schools of what not to do when reporting the news. The vocabulary is toned down and now below the level of the Daily News of the 1970’s. Spelling and diction errors are too frequent, especially when word processors with spellcheck and grammar check are ubiquitous. And the woke slant of the “news” is obvious without any detailed scrutiny.
And then there are the articles that hardly qualify as news such as the instant case of 95% of commercial pilots are white men. Why would the Times want to present this inane fact to its readers as if the editors discovered something novel and newsworthy? Why would the Times not report that almost all commercial pilots gained their initial experience flying for the Air Force or the Navy, and those were white males who chose that path after having passed required written examinations and physical ability tests? Could it be that these same white men flew freight for several years to gain enough flight hours before they were even allowed to fly passengers? Could it be that The NY Times is more concerned with wokeness and perceived equality than airplane and passenger safety? Could it be that the reporter that wrote that article is clueless as to the education and training pilots need to fly passengers, and that taking Ahmed from behind the wheel of a NYC taxicab and letting him pilot the next New York-Miami flight may not be such a good idea? Could it be that the present New York Times readers are a bunch of morons that can’t think for themselves and believe the horse manure masquerading as news that the Times shovels to them each day?
The Times is finished as a newspaper. But, their Board of Directors must believe that their current business model will make money for the shareholders. As Jethro Tull once said “[a]nd your wise men don’t know how it feels, to be thick as a brick!”

Yes, it was much better back then, but don’t forget, the Jewish-founded NY Times virtually refused to cover the Holocaust (not more than a handful of stories) until the end of the war.

That was before my time. In any event, I’m not so sure the lack of Holocaust coverage was completely up to the editors. The US government from the start of the war was instrumental in asking the press to censor their articles as to certain content, and the press complied. For example, prior to August 1942 (coinciding with the start of the Manhattan Project) the word “atomic” was sprinkled throughout newspaper articles, but after, the frequency of that word fell to near zero in the press. And it is my understanding that no newspapers at that time covered the Holocaust and not just the NYT. The NYT published its last article on the Holocaust featuring Goebbels “10 points” in November 1942. I’m sure that the Roosevelt administration had something to do with this, and it was not a unilateral action of the Times’s ownership as widely publicized. Also, the American newspapers published as news, a lot of misinformation about WWI that was US propaganda, and they did not want a repeat of that. Here is an article that touches on some of that:
