Police officers raided the premises and were pictured taking away bags of evidence including computers on Tuesday. Three Muslims including two men aged 32 and 61 have been arrested after Ofsted inspectors found a locked room with a bed and medical equipment at the unregistered school.

‘There were concerns raised about possible illegal practices which may have taken place at the premises. ‘As part of our enquiries two Muslim men, aged 32 and 61, have been arrested on suspicion of being involved in female genital mutilation and remain in custody for questioning.
‘We understand the concern this will cause within the community but it’s important to stress we’re still working to establish whether any offences have occurred. Our investigation along with partner agencies is continuing.’
The exact number of women and girls in the UK who have undergone FGM is unknown. However, a 2015 study based on 2011 census data estimated that around 60,000 girls aged 0-14 were born in England and Wales to mothers who had undergone FGM. It is thought to be the first alleged case of FGM in Britain involving an unregistered school.

So say Muslim mothers in Egypt, Sudan, Somalia, and Ethiopia where upwards of 90% of young girls are genitally mutilated, usually by unlicensed “cutters” as they are called, who use unsterilized razor blades for the procedure. This often results in sepsis infection and other problems. Not the least of which is that FGM women derive no pleasure from sexual relations.

With the increase of Muslim immigration into the United States, so, too, have clitordectomies increased. There have been at least 500,000 girls in U.S. who have undergone genital mutilation, or are at risk of having it done.
Now that no less than three Muslim doctors have been arrested in Michigan for performing female genital mutilations, the media is rushing to scrub Islam from this Islamic story. Nowhere is Islam mentioned in this article.
Ayaan Hirsi Ali explains that many Muslim clerics endorse female circumision to repress sexuality in young girls, depriving their right to pleasure and causing extreme pain, and even death. Many girls die from hemorrhaging and use of non-sterile instruments.
The practice of FGM in the UK was banned by law in 2003, and it’s illegal to help or encourage anyone to carry out the barbaric procedure overseas. But Muslims ignore the law. Mohammed Abdul, the imam of a Bristol mosque, was filmed urging a follower to take women and girls abroad so they can be genitally mutilated legally.

The procedure, which involves the removal of external female genitalia, causes incredible pain and leaves women scarred for life. In some cases the vagina is sewn shut. It’s estimated 100,000 women in Britain have undergone the procedure and another 24,000 are thought to be at risk.
Dr Yunes Teinaz, who works for anti-FGM charity Forward, tells The Sunday Times: ‘As a result of misinformation spread by so-called Muslim scholars, young girls are being mutilated and subjected to unimaginable pain and suffering.’
A 2015 study based on 2011 census data on FGM in the UK found around 103,000 women aged 15-49 and around 24,000 women aged 50 and over who have migrated to England and Wales are living with the consequences of FGM. It also found that around 10,000 girls aged under 15 who have migrated to England and Wales are likely to have undergone the illegal practice of FGM.
London has the highest prevalence rate in England and Wales, with an estimated 2.1% of women affected by FGM, the 2015 study found. Outside the capital, the highest estimates were for Manchester, Slough, Bristol, Leicester and Birmingham.
The practice of circumcision in Islam comes from the Hadith, Shariah law, and the consensus of Islamic communities.
