The Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), today expressed outage about the selection of Tonya Ugoretz to lead the FBI Directorate of Intelligence due to her past work with (whaat CAIR likes to call) an “anti-Muslim hate group and far-right extremist Daniel Pipes.”
CAIR Last week, Ugoretz announced that she had been appointed to her new position. In response, Daniel Pipes publicly praised Ugoretz, describing her as an “alumna” of his longstanding, highly-respected Islam-critical group, the Middle East Forum (MEF). Pipes said that Ugoretz was “managing editor” of his Middle East Quarterly from 1994 to 1997.

In a letter sent to FBI Director Christopher Wray on May 23, 2022, CAIR Government Affairs Department Director Robert McCaw wrote in part:
“Naming Ugoretz to such an important role, after a series of promotions, points to the systemic issues the FBI has regarding its relationship with hate movements. We look forward to either learning of her repudiation of Middle East Forum or your swift, decisive, and public action to ensure racism and bigotry are not uplifted by your agency.”
In a letter to the FBI, Robert S. McCaw, CAIR Director of Government Affairs Department asks:
1. Was the Bureau previously aware of Ugoretz’s work for an anti–Islam think tank?
2. How does the decision to promote Ugoretz not indicate that association with the anti–
Islam hate movement remains acceptable within your agency?
3. How can the public trust any assessment emerging from Ugoretz’s Intelligence
Directorate after she partnered with Pipes?
4. Has she engaged in any professional communication with Middle East Forum
representatives during her FBI tenure?
The real reason behind this move by CAIR likely concerns this:
“That CAIR settled when accused of fraud and conspiracy confirms the ugly nature of this organization,” notes Forum president Daniel Pipes. “As a 2006 lawsuit already established, it is a terrorist-supporting front organization that seeks to overthrow constitutional government in the United States and the installation of an Islamic theocracy.”
TundraTabloids– June 4, 2019 – The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), an Islamist group, agreed to mediation to avoid a fraud lawsuit, Lopez vs. CAIR. The American Freedom Law Center (AFLC) contested the suit with major funding from the Middle East Forum.
CAIR was accused of racketeering, breach of fiduciary duty, common law fraud, and much else because it allegedly defrauded hundreds of prospective clients in search of legal counsel. The lawsuit contends that Morris J. Days III, a CAIR employee, took money from Muslim clients in exchange for purported legal services. But Days was not an attorney, something that CAIR, according to the complaint (excerpted here), went to “Draconian and unconscionable” efforts to hide.
The lawsuit is but one example of CAIR’s long and dismal record of dishonesty.
This case marks MEF’s second major legal victory over CAIR in 2019. With substantial MEF funding, the Freedom of Conscience Defense Fund kicked CAIR out of the San Diego Unified School District. A settlement in the federal lawsuit against the District ended its “anti-Islamophobia initiative,” which: (i) singled out Muslim students for special protections; and (ii) empowered CAIR to change the District’s curriculum to portray Islam more favorably.

I knew there had to be a back story about this re: Daniel Pipes. He should sue them again for libeling him.

Better ,take a good look at africa and you can see what is comming our way with support from the politics in our nations. I can only imagine that CAIR would only be happy if a muslim took that position, preferably a woman in a black garbage bag from head to toe rather than an American free thinking woman… Cant have those free thinking women running around.. now can we… Just ask the feminists of today all across the Western World who are screaming about the rights of women in the islamic world so no doubt they will come out of their rabbit holes soon and speak against this woman…
