Sudan’s situation is a little tricky. Their military effected a successful coup because of the dire economic straits caused by the old regime. Then as an afterthought, the military raided the offices of the Islamic Council, who was very influential on how the country was run. Very recently, the military lifted the state of emergency, and what will be is anybody’s guess.
Those in Israel should do as they see fit to normalize relations without undue influence from the US. Sudan is obviously not as important as the UAE or Saudi Arabia, but the more of its neighbors that it forms economic ties with, the better. Israel should tell Biden that his leadership of the US is a reason not to listen to his administration on what to do with Sudan.
By the way, gas in Israel is now more than $7 a liter due to Biden’s energy policies. High energy prices have a crippling effect on the world economy, not just our own
