Sweden Democrats (the conservatives) call for Afghan, Somali, and Syrian invaders to be deported as integration of these Muslims has proven to be a dismal failure

The populist Sweden Democrats (SD) have called for the repatriation of Syrian, Afghan, and Somali freeloader wannabes, noting their rate of unemployment and high numbers who have not integrated.

Breitbart (h/t Thereza B)  Party leader Jimmie Åkesson and migration policy spokesman Ludvig Aspling have said the Swedish government needs to do more to return migrants to their homelands if they rely on state benefits and do not integrate.

“Since 2010, Sweden has granted over 1.2 million residence permits, equivalent to more than a brand new Stockholm. Unemployment is almost five times higher among foreign-born compared to native-born,” the pair wrote in a debate article for the newspaper Aftonbladet.

The pair add that among Syrians, Afghans, and Somalis, half of the adults earn incomes less than 100,000 Swedish kronor (£8,189/$10,235) per year, and that among foreign-born residents in general some 600,000 are not self-sufficient.

“Remigration is not a miracle solution, but the failures of recent decades show that it must be an option – a solution for all those who live in long-term exclusion,” they said, noting that while Sweden does have a subsidy for those wishing to return to their home countries it is seldom used.

“Incentive structures and the welfare system must be reformed, so that people in exclusion cannot get caught up in welfare dependency, but are either forced into society or encouraged to remigrate,” they wrote.

Åkesson and Aspling also cited the Danish approach to repatriating migrants, quoting Danish government minister Mattias Tesfaye, who has previously stated his goal is that Denmark would receive zero asylum seekers. 

Loving your country and kicking out those who don’t obey the laws and do not even try to assimilate isn’t about “right wing nationalism,” it’s about safety for its citizens. Countries should have a consistent national identity of its people. Immigration of a widely antagonistic group is destructive to that country.

The STAR Sweden has failed to integrate the vast numbers of Muslim immigrants it has taken in over the past two decades, leading to parallel societies and gang violence, Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson said on Thursday, as she launched a series of initiatives to combat organized crime.

“Segregation has been allowed to go so far that we have parallel societies in Sweden. We live in the same country but in completely different realities,” Andersson told a news conference.

Fears of Swedes losing their culture and identity has fuelled a rise in anti-migrant sentiment, after 1nearly a million Muslims arrived in the country since 2015. Sweden has been the poster child for openness and toleration for decades but that has changed in just two years, the study by independent British think-tank Demos found.

The report said: “This U-turn in refugee policy and rhetoric on refugee admission was accompanied by an increased focus on questions of national identity and civic integration. ‘Swedish values’ became one of the key terms in the immigration debate, in a country where nationalism used to be a political taboo.” And a surge in nationalistic language has shown many Swedes now consider migrants a threat to the nation, the report said.

Since the beginning of 2015, the study found an increasing use of the term “Swedish values” by not just the anti-immigration Sweden Democrats which have gained popularity since then, but by all main parties.

What’s more, even the leaders of the liberal-conservative Moderate Party and conservative Christian Democrats who have been more subtle than Sweden Democrats about linking values and culture with the suggestion immigrants “are causing a demise of Swedish values,”  increasingly are making the link, the study found.

Here’s how the basic costs of deporting 80,000 Muslim migrants would break down:

1. Let’s assume that Sweden immediately deports 80,000 people.  Given the average cost of deporting someone in Sweden is $37,000, this works out to $2.96 billion.

2. Sweden’s government spends roughly $17,000 per year, per adult migrant, on general asylum costs (housing, food etc.).  Given that there are 181,000 adult migrants, this works out to $3.1 billion—already 50% higher than Sweden’s budgeted “migration” costs.

3. Sweden also has a very generous system for underage migrants—their subsidies actually work out to $74,000 per year per migrant (they get a daily stipend for food etc.).  Since there are an estimated 57,000 migrant children in Sweden, this works out to $4.2 billion.

4. The cost of social services is enormous: migrants get access to Swedish state-funded education, healthcare etc.  However, since Sweden’s government excludes migrant status from usage statistics, it’s impossible to know their exact burden.The exception is education—we know that migrant children are educated at a cost of $17,600 per year.  This works out to $1 billion a year.The real education costs are probably higher (but the data is inadequate), because migrant children need translators (sometimes 5 translators per classroom), schools have to pay for added security measures, and migrant children often exhibit learning disabilities (caused by trauma, poor developmental healthcare in their homeland etc.) which means nurses & care-workers are needed in greater numbers.

5. Healthcare costs are also significant, with migrants receiving full benefits under Swedish law.  Given that Sweden spends an average of $6,808 on healthcare per person per year, this works out to $1.6 billionfor the remaining migrants.  Again, the real costs are probably higher, because the migrants are by and large not as healthy as are native Swedes.
