‘TOP GUN – Maverick’ has already grossed over $1 billion dollars at the box office (even being banned in China) while audiences in droves are staying away from Disney’s “woke” ‘LIGHTYEAR’ movie, rejecting its politically correct LGBTQ+ social engineering agenda, resulting in its stock price plummeting from a recent high of $200 to $90 now.

That’s TV in the UK, have also got the gonads to show Benny Hill on national television.

Any macho movie is better that the current diversity woke shit everywhere.
Bubba Grump's Nutz says
Damn! I KNEW I should have shorted Disney stock……and didn’t do it…..
Awwwwwfuck!

I wasn’t aware that Lightyear contained “LGBT propaganda” which I am definitely against in kids movies.
I’ve made comments before about how being over the top and waving “pride flags” in peoples faces too much has the danger of driving some people towards the orbit of extremely socially conservative religions (i.e… Islam). But people in the “LGBTQI+” political arena are far too dense and self-centred to ever consider that.
BareNakedIslam says
Rob, that’s the problem, the far left takes a good cause and then destroys it by trying to include issues that have nothing to do with the main issue.

Good for the overseas folks, if only the same would happen over here.

As you quoted Trump recently Bonni.
“Go Woke, Go Broke”.
Whenever I see a baghead bitch in an advert I boycott the company.
Latest additions are Argos, Dove & QVC.
I absolutely hated Top Gun but I would gladly support any movie that was anti woke.
BareNakedIslam says
Me too, on all counts.

What a disappointment, I thought it was a movie about the ghost of Kiev and he was secretly gay, but it was just about a white man flying warplanes and not even poc woman aircraft pilot.
😂
Linda Rivera says
How shameful that wicked CHILD HATER/FAMILY DESTROYER Tom Cruise was chosen to star in the movie.
I wouldn’t spend a dime to watch the smiling monster.
I despise this evil fiend with every fiber of my being.

Leah Remini criticizes Tom Cruise’s Scientology connection amid ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ success
USA TODAY
June 13, 2022
Leah Remini is calling out Tom Cruise for his connection to the Church of Scientology once again as his blockbuster “Top Gun: Maverick” remains at the top of the box office.
Cruise’s latest “Top Gun” movie gave the 59-year-old actor the biggest opening weekend of his career at $156 million in ticket sales. As of Sunday, he ranked at the No. 2 spot behind “Jurassic World: Dominion” at an estimated $50 million.
On Saturday, Remini, 51, cautioned fans about supporting Cruise. “Tom Cruise knows exactly what goes on in Scientology,” she wrote on Twitter. “Don’t let the movie star charm fool you.”

The “Kevin Can Wait” alum, who left Scientology in 2013, shared a screenshot of a Facebook post from her friend and former Scientologist Claire Headley that criticized Cruise “and his crimes against humanity.”
Headley said Cruise “promotes a dangerous cult that destroyed my family.”
“No, I will not watch the movie, nor will I ever support or approve of this scam of a man,” she wrote. “Trust me, Tom Cruise knows exactly who he is supporting and the abuses that organization perpetrates. I worked with him while I was there.”
Remini thanked her friend for her “courage” on Twitter, adding, “You have continued to speak out despite the non-stop attacks from Scientology.”

“The King of Queens” alum was a member of the church for 35 years before leaving in 2013. Two years later, she said in an interview that Cruise was one of the factors that led her to leave — because the actor is so tethered to the church, they view an attack on him as an attack on all of them.
Remini has long criticized Cruise for his involvement in the church.
“He is very aware of the abuses that go on in Scientology,” Remini told The Daily Beast in 2018. “He’s been part of it.”
The actress claimed that “Scientologists are told that Cruise is saving the world single-handedly, so he is considered a deity within Scientology,” second only to David Miscavige, the church’s leader since 1986.
Leah Remini has been critical of Scientology and Tom Cruise since her departure from the church in 2013.

The two men are “best friends,” she continued, so Cruise has “been privy to the punishments that David Miscavige doles out.”
Remini launched the A&E series “Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath” in 2016 where she discussed leaving and spoke with alleged victims of abuse. Within the series’ three-year fun, she was critical of other high-profile Scientologists including Danny Masterson, inviting his accusers of sexual assault for the finale.

Never was a big fan of Tom Cruise, but really enjoyed “Top Gun – Maverick” (my one movie per year). Disney’s stock price dip is exactly what they deserve for pushing LGBTQ garbage. “The patriots are waking up and winning.” x22report.com

Lightyear is just one movie.
Wait until Disney brings out the Toy Story sequel, Brokeback Woody!
And what about the demand if there is a new Lego movie version of Le Cage Aux Folles?
BareNakedIslam says
I imagine the same thing will happen. Parents revenge.
Logan James says
I can’t stand Tom Douche or any other bozo from Hollyweird. My friends saw the Top Gun sequel and they found it crappy, and I have been able to confirm that from its reviews on IMDB. I don’t care how much $$$ it extracted from a gullible audience. It’s nothing but a repetitive, boring film trying to ride on its predecessor’s soundtrack and nostalgia, there’s no originality. I do enjoy listening to the Kenny Logins score “Highway to the Danger Zone”. Regurgitating the same shit and minting $1 billion in the process. There’s a moron everywhere you look.
BareNakedIslam says
It doesn’t matter whether the movie is good or not, I was making a point about the apparent “woke” backlash.
Rob R says
I’m sure the Top Gun sequel is terrible. No story, just floating in nostalgia for 2 hours, no thanks.
Like a lot of movies now unfortunately
BareNakedIslam says
I like a movie that reminds me of the good old days before far left wokeness replaced it.
Logan James says
Rob is right. The original Top Gun is far better than this watered down sequel. The original introduced us to Aviator sunglasses, Bomber jackets, cocky cockpit humor, what’s not to like about a movie that sets latest fashion trends.
The whole soundtrack was exceptional. As was the background score by Harold Faltermeyer. In fact it was so good they just had to repeat the whole shebang. They spent three years making a sequel but did absolutely nothing in terms of improvisation.
The chemistry between Maverick, Goose, and Iceman made the original shine through the end. In the latest version we have 14 aviators with 14 different call signs. Do they really expect the audience to remember 14 different call signs? That’s some lousy script writing.
The original was ballsy enough to watch as it was released during the Reagan era. Maverick’s bomber jacket featured a Taiwan flag, they had the guts to poke a middle finger at Communist China.
With this Biden era sequel they decided to play it safe by deleting that Taiwan flag. Hollyweird just doesn’t want to offend the Chinese Communist Party.
The original was set in the Cold War with USSR clearly depicted as enemy. In the latest version, they chickened out altogether at naming an enemy.
When Goose died in the original, you couldn’t help but feel it inside you. In this version they decide to play it safe and noone dies. To keep the snowflakes happy of course.
They should rename TOP GUN:MAVERICK as TOP GUN FOR PUSSIES.
BareNakedIslam says
OK, thanks for the heads up.
Bubba Grump's Nutz says
Again, if you haven’t PERSONALLY seen it, S.T.F.U. already…..
ME Infidel says
Don’t do what the Left does by condemning a book, article, movie, etc. without reading or watching it. I’m right there with you about “Hollyweird” but sometimes they get it [mostly] right.
I just had a prominent, but polite, long-time Democrat lawyer condemn a taped version of a webinar I sent him on the China Virus and our political response by Frank Gaffney’s Center for Security Policy without even watching it. He denounced it because he didn’t consider the source or panelists “reputable”. Seriously?
What is it about facts that Marxist just don’t get or do they get them but ignore all to push their agenda and ideology?
BareNakedIslam says
Evidently, YOUR facts are not the same as their ‘facts.’
Bubba Grump's Nutz says
Hold on, Sport. Your opinion on the film is worth ZERO since you haven’t seen it. As for me, my Family, and all of our friends, WE LOVED IT.
God bless the USA.
You. Are. Dismissed.

i loved it, too. my sister and i are going back to watch it, again, and regret we cant see it in imax. i was in my 20’s when the original came out. i havent gone to a movie theater in many years but i have for this movie.
i am praying for tom cruise – he became a scientologist right after Top Gun. maybe with enough prayers to God Almighty, he will come back and out of the hell hole called scientology with this sequel. prayer is powerful!
