Three Muslims in the Swedish city of Linköping have been sentenced to prison over their involvement in riots and assaults against police triggered by anti-Islam activists burning the Qur’an. What’s more, additional burnings by anti-Islam activists are planned.
Breitbart (h/t Nita) Muslim riots broke out across multiple cities in Sweden over Easter as Danish anti-Islam activist Rasmus Paludan and his group Stram Kurs (Hard Line) conducted a series of demonstrations in which they burned copies of the Qur’an, with some riots breaking out before the activists even had a chance to hold their demonstrations.
Over a hundred police officers were injured as a result of the violence, largely due to locals throwing rocks and stones at them. The officers suffered various injuries including bone fractures and even brain damage. “Without the protective equipment, I would have been seriously injured or even dead,” one police officer who policed the riots said last month. Another stated he felt the rioters wanted to kill officers.
As a result of the riots, at least a hundred police officers were injured and many others reported mental health problems after the riots as well.
The three men, 21-year-old Moulham Abo Gamous, 26-year-old Elvedin James Emini, and an unnamed 19-year-old were given sentences of between two and a half and four years for sabotaging police operations during the Easter riots on April 17th.
Moulham Abo Gamous, who was sentenced to four years, was found guilty by the district court of having thrown a large number of stones at police vehicles and police officers on several different occasions, newspaper Expressen reports.
Elvedin James Emini was handed a sentence of three and half years. He was not only throwing stones at police but also a driving force in provoking the crowd into rioting. The 19-year-old was also convicted for throwing stones at police, as well as kicking police vehicles, and received two and a half years.
The convictions are just the latest in connection with the Easter riots, which took place in several cities in reaction to the burning of copies of the Qur’an by Danish anti-Islam activist Rasmus Paludan.
Some of those already convicted in connection to the riots turned out to have been immigrants to Sweden and have received deportation orders on top of their sentences.
Despite the riots, anti-Islam activist Rasmus Paludan and his group Stram Kurs have continued to carry out demonstrations in Sweden in which they burn copies of the Qur’an.
The group is currently scheduled to hold a Qur’an-burning event in Karlstad near the only mosque in the area, but police have claimed that the event will be handled in a safe and secure manner.
Not surprisingly, almost a third of far-left Swedes say they are for banning political demonstrations that are offensive to sections of the (Muslim) community following multi-day riots over Easter sparked by anti-Islam protesters burning copies of the Qur’an. A total of 28 per cent of Swedes say they would support a ban on offensive political demonstrations, with the number rising to around 40 per cent among supporters of the ruling far-left Social Democrats and the Greens.

Breitbart Paludan says: “There are two things in Denmark that are completely legal, but which no one dares to do: To defile the Koran by burning it, throwing it or putting bacon in it, and to draw the prophet Muhammad. The reason is that the risk of being attacked or killed is very high. We do not believe that assailants and murderers should decide where the limits of free speech should be, and therefore we think it is important to do just that.
Paludan, who “represented the last blasphemy case in Denmark,” is notorious for holding rallies which include burning the quran. It was at one of these rallies on Constitution Day on June 5th in the migrant area of Gellerupparken that a “52-year-old Lebanese Muslim” attempted to kill the political leader, charging at him with a knife.
Europe will not allow quran burnings for much longer.
Police should dispel the riots using rifles. But, if they don’t want carnage, then shotguns using shells filled with rock salt will do just fine and teach those Muzzies not to riot.
Now they will continue to be pests of the State while in prison. They will clamor for, and get, special privileges, a special room to prey from, specially prepared food, etc., What is more they might establish a prison gang which would go from strength to strength as the prison population gains more Muslims. Prevention is better than cure, and Europe is in delusion letting in countless Muslims into their nations and hoping they will assimilate.
