The 10-year-old Mama elephant was trying save her baby after it slipped into the deep hole during a heavy rain storm which made the grass muddy and wet. Before trying to pull her out, wildlife volunteers tranquilized the mother, which then caused her to slide halfway into the hole, hitting her head on the concrete and rendering her unconscious.
After recusers got her out using a huge crane, she appeared not to be breathing so 3 vets jumped on her chest to revive her, performing CPR with their hands, knees, legs and feet. The one-year-old screaming calf was rescued shortly after. It took the team more than three hours to finish the operation, but miraculously, mother and baby are doing fine and were able to return to their herd.
Elephants love humans and never forget the humans who helped them in times of trouble.
I love this beautiful story of the kind, loving humans who rescued the mama elephant and her precious baby! God bless them!
Thank You God!
