Not entirely true. If you, a Christian, convert to Islam OR are willing to become a second-class citizen and pay the jizya (tax) then they will let you live. However, if you refuse the first two options then it is death (so partially correct). See how tolerant Islam is?

Because of a certain group of people I have to get to an Airport four hours before my flight, I have to take my Belt and Shoes off, I cant take water on Board, I have had perfume and bug spray taken from me, no knifes or even Nail Files, and yet when the meal on the plane arrived they handed me a small silver metal knife and fork…

I have been stopped and searched a few times in my life at various Airports across the World, and I am most certainly NOT a member of the religion of Piss.
Im a mature European American gentleman that hasnt even had a Parking Ticket in years.
However I guess I fit some kind of profile in order for the Security Border Guard to ask me where Ive been, where I am flying in from etc, search through my bags after I answered, padded me down and this was, the last time, in LAX as I flew in from Bangkok.
I was offended and soon as I got to my Hotel I finally felt safe and could then have a good cry.
Who can I Sue for this injustice against my very Soul, or which TV Station should I call to inform them of this racist injustice as the Immigration Guard was a big black dude…. Racist…. racist… racist… hand me a Tissue please…
Too bad. Muslims are better knowing that people and society in general don’t trust them. I know I don’t. Having just recently had surgery at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, I was quite pleased that my medical needs was met very well by no Muslim. Muslim don’t belong anywhere, but in a Muslim nation, and if not in one – need to be always watched.

I remember that. It’s founder, William Greenleaf Eliot, was (I think I remember) and either an fourth or fifth cousin of mine. You had good grades to get in. I was quite impressed by the hospital. Unlike, my partner’s experience in Springfield, Il.. Clearly well-funded, and very well organized. The only thing I didn’t like seeing was in one of my visits we walked by a table giving Covid vaccines – for 5 months to 6 years of year – today. Creepy. But, my care was very good.
And, I always liked river towns, like St. Louis and since moving, we live only about fifty miles outside of the city. City driving is crazy now, but not yet Chicago level. Hope I can go more for me to the Art Museum, and so on. We are in a dead hamlet now with sidewalks that never open. Still, peaceful and far more liveable. (Springfield is a wreck.)

Japanese language and studies. I worked for several Japanese companies after graduating but didn’t find my calling until I began working for a Japanese advertising agency – Dentsu (in NYC) – where I began as a copywriter and eventually became creative director.
Wow! Japanese isn’t an especially easy language, and clearly not to write it. And then all the various cultural ideas associated in the language and in the culture. But – if I was to be in Asia – Japan would be my first choice. My father also had an love for the culture.
We do have things in common.
I spent one year in Japan as a student, then a company I was working for in NYC sent me to work in its Tokyo office for a year. It was the best 2 years of my life.
Yes, Wash. U is very prestigious, and to get admitted from NYC or any major metro area is an achievement. Hope it has not become radicalized like most US universities. Saudi money, long term planning.
Not only has it become radicalized, it always was, though I didn’t know understand it at the time. The radical leftists at Wash U burned down the campus ROTC building to protest the Vietnam War while I was there. I had friends who went to Washington DC to march in the big moratorium against the war. I didn’t participate in any of that crap and didn’t even talk politics with them. But back then, I didn’t know I was a conservative. I just knew I didn’t like what was going on. From the newsletters (aka begging for donations) that I still get from them, it is more radical leftist than ever.
