It doesn’t come until the very end of this video, but it will have you reeling: “All this ‘Islamophobia.’ I don’t get it. What have Muslims ever done?”
UPDATE (from BNI): I didn’t realize until now that this remark was total sarcasm and therefore apologize to Leo Kearse for accusing him of saying something stupid. See second video below.
Tuesday marked the beginning of the tenth annual Islamophobia Awareness Month, a campaign launched by British Muslim organizations in 2012. Just days before the launch, a report in The Independent confirmed that Communities Secretary Michael Gove opposes the establishment of an official definition of Islamophobia and would abandon the long-awaited adoption of one by the Conservative government.
In 2019, after six months of consultations, the All Party Parliamentary Group on British Muslims proposed the definition: “Islamophobia is rooted in racism and is a type of racism that targets expressions of Muslimness or perceived Muslimness.” It was adopted by the Labour and Liberal Democrat parties, but was rejected by the ruling Tory Conservative party.
Coming up with an official definition of “Islamophobia” will only serve to make criminals out of British citizens who see rampant crime and gang rape by Muslims in the UK to be a bigger problem than a few hate crimes against Muslims in retaliation.
This is the fellow I attacked for saying something stupid:
