The United Nations’ Mideast coordinator took to Twitter on Friday to say that he was “horrified” by the video of an Israeli soldier shooting a Palestinian terrorist who was stabbing people in Judea-Samaria (aka West Bank) on Friday. His ignorant comments were condemned by Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz.
i24 News Horrified by today’s killing of a Palestinian man, Ammar Mefleh, during a scuffle with an Israeli soldier near Huwwara in the occupied West Bank,” wrote Tor Wennesland wrote in a tweet, failing to mention, however, that the Palestinian, who by then had already stabbed two other Israeli soldiers, was trying to seize the border guard’s automatic weapon when he was shot.
The video of the incident showed a bloodied Palestinian struggling with the border guard while two other Palestinians appeared to be assisting the assailant to break free. The guard loosened his grip over the assailant when his automatic weapon fell on the ground, pulled out his handgun and discharged four shots at the terrorist.
According to the Israeli Border Police spokesperson, the attack occurred after a group of suspects approached the patrol of soldiers operating in the area. In a video of the attack, the suspected attacker attempted to steal the Border Patrol agent’s gun before stabbing him.
Border police distributed a photo of a knife on the ground and another of a policeman with what appeared to be a stabbing wound to his head.
United with Israel Responding to Wennesland’s comments, Gantz on Saturday praised the Border Police officer that neutralized the terrorist, and called out Wennesland’s statement. “I fully condemn the attempts to present the incident in a false and manipulative manner, and the statement by the U.N. envoy to the Middle East against the officer, who functioned with determination and professionalism,” said Gantz.
“The officer who neutralized the terrorist and all IDF and Border Police combat personnel have full backing to continue to act against terrorism and to preserve the security of Israeli citizens,” Gantz stated.
Border Police chief Cmdr. Amir Cohen said on Friday that the officer’s swift action had prevented a “significant” attack on civilians. “Within seconds, the team understood that this was a terror attack, and strove to engage the terrorist, who in the end was neutralized with gunfire before being able to harm Israeli civilians,” he said.
On Saturday, the European Union’s foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell, also reacted negatively to the latest (justified) Israeli killing of Palestinians.
He said the EU was “greatly concerned” about increased violence in the West Bank, including the killing of the 22-year-old Palestinian by Israeli occupation forces.
“The killing of a 22-year-old Palestinian on Friday by Israeli security forces was the latest example of the recent uptick in violence,” Borrell said, adding, “Under international law, lethal force is only justified in situations in which there exists a serious and imminent threat to life.” (There was. That’s why they killed him)

UN is part of the New World Order, so they attack nations that preserve their own sovereignty and defend themselves from unjust aggressors. If only the UN would be terminated, or at least move off US soil.
