If one man burning a quran in Sweden hadn’t been front-page news in the worldwide media – just as bible burnings in the West are virtually ignored – Muslims wouldn’t erupt in nuclear meltdowns, causing them to burn down everything in sight, often with attempts to kill the Quran-burners.
While the international media are quick to publish stories about the infrequent quran burnings, they pull back when it comes to reporting on the resulting violence instigated by Muslims who consider quran burning an act of blasphemy, punishable by execution.
Breitbart Back in April, Muslim riots broke out across multiple cities in Sweden over Easter as Danish/Swedish anti-Islam activist Rasmus Paludan and his group Stram Kurs (Hard Line) conducted a series of demonstrations in which they burned copies of the Qur’an, with some riots breaking out before the activists even had a chance to hold their demonstrations.
Despite the extreme nature of these uprisings against the Swedish people’s fundamental right to be offensive against religion, no matter how upsetting religious people may find their words or actions, the mainstream media has remained predictably tight lipped about it all.
Over a hundred police officers were injured as a result of the violence, largely due to locals throwing rocks and stones at them. The officers suffered various injuries including bone fractures and even brain damage. “Without the protective equipment, I would have been seriously injured or even dead,” one police officer who policed the riots said last month. Another stated he felt the rioters wanted to kill officers.
Not surprisingly, almost a third of far-left Swedes say they are for banning political demonstrations that are offensive to sections of the (Muslim) community following multi-day riots over Easter sparked by anti-Islam protesters burning copies of the Qur’an. A total of 28 per cent of Swedes say they would support a ban on offensive political demonstrations, with the number rising to around 40 per cent among supporters of the ruling far-left Social Democrats and the Greens.
The little reporting about the events which has been publicized desperately attempted to blur the lines between violence instigated by what they term ‘far-right groups’ and the violence which, this time, was indeed initiated by Muslims protesting against ‘blasphemy’.
If you read the BBC’s article about the riots, you’d struggle to decipher which group was actually attacking the police, and throughout the piece it’s given a “this is all because of racism” spin.
Rasmus Paludan explains why he burns Qurans in Sweden and Denmark, and what it says about Muslims.
Breitbart Paludan says: “There are two things in Denmark that are completely legal, but which no one dares to do: To defile the Koran by burning it, throwing it or putting bacon in it, and to draw the prophet Muhammad. The reason is that the risk of being attacked or killed is very high. We do not believe that assailants and murderers should decide where the limits of free speech should be, and therefore we think it is important to do just that.
Paludan, who “represented the last blasphemy case in Denmark,” is notorious for holding rallies which include burning the quran. It was at one of these rallies on Constitution Day on June 5th in the migrant area of Gellerupparken that a “52-year-old Lebanese Muslim” attempted to kill the political leader, charging at him with a knife.

What does the left expect now since they are moving to outlaw and confiscate people’s gas stoves? Sweden is a cold country and you need to have heat. Burning the muslim jihad manifesto seems to be an appropriate resort. And isn’t that what free speech should be about? The muslims can rape and rob across Europe’s cities with virtual impunity with protection and cover from muslim advocacy groups yet the people of the host country cannot exercise their free speech in response. Nonsense.
