I used to call Ramadan “the holiday where Muslims skip lunch.” However, David Wood does a much better job of explaining it to ‘infidels’ who go out of their way not to eat in front of Muslims during Ramadan, especially in the workplace, out of respect toward Muslims who tell them that they are fasting for the entire month of Ramadan.
