A female Muslim migrant college student from Iran was given just three years probation for stabbing her blind date at a Las Vegas-area hotel, in retaliation for a deadly U.S. drone strike during the Trump Administration, that eliminated Iranian general Qassem Soleimani, responsiible for the deaths of many Americans. Nika Nikoubin, 23, was indicted on attempted murder and other charges for stabbing her Plenty of Fish dating app partner, Daniel Trevino, in the neck while they had sex in a hotel room in March 2022.

Judge Carli Kierny cited Nikoubin’s mental health struggles as a reason that she was offered probation in Texas, 8 News Now reported. The young woman suffered from severe depression, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.(DING DING DING! Nikoubin told the judge she had been raped when she was 18 years old and she “did not fully realize the impact that this experience had on me and my mental health deteriorated.” She also claimed she had been in a mental health facility for 10 days prior to meeting Trevino at the hotel.
While in court, she apologized to her victim, saying: “Most importantly your honor, I want to express my deepest apologies to the victim, Daniel, and to the state of Nevada, for the harm that I have caused.”
Trevino also spoke in court, telling the judge he had “scars to show” for the ordeal, according to 8 News Now. He previously told investigators he had “chosen to forgive” her, but would leave it to the law to determine the consequences.
Nikoubin and Trevino met on the dating app and decided to get a room at the hotel together. While having sex, the Texas student blinded Trevino before stabbing him in the neck.
Nikoubin, who came to the US from Iran at the age of 12, told law enforcement officials she’d stabbed her date with a pink kitchen knife for revenge over the death of Qasem Soleimani in 2020, adding she stabbed Trevino out of “spite and revenge.” “I mean the U.S. killed Soleimani. Lots of blood spilled, so, I feel like, it’s fair that American blood be spilled,” she said at the time.
“We were drinking a little bit and then — I guess we started to get into it and then I stabbed him,” Nikoubin says in the footage, obtained by KLAS. She also claimed she did not want to kill Trevino, only “hurt” him.
Former President Donald Trump called for Soleimani’s assassination because he was the “number one terrorist anywhere in the world.”
Even former Vice President Joe Biden admitted that “no American will mourn Qassem Soleimani’s passing. He deserved to be brought to justice for his crimes against American troops and thousands of innocents throughout the region. He supported terror and sowed chaos.”
Why didn’t allah save soleimani? Must have been an oversight.

Part of her probation needs to be take her meds, see the psychiatrist, follow up on all conditions, pay restitution of course. She needs to be closely followed because people with those illnesses often have poor compliance because they feel better and go off the meds. As for the typical Muslim mental health excuse? Well, a lot of them ARE bipolar and schizophrenic from nature and nurture. But my experience with such illnesses as a court appointed attorney for involuntary detentions and having had a talented sister-in-law that suffered from those same illnesses, they do know what they are doing when they do it! That young woman is managing to function well enough to go to college.
I don’t understand her not being given some jail time, with a good chunk of time suspended over her head to violate her if she blows off treatment.
Even better, deport her.
