Still, experts added that whatever support Iran might be providing Hamas would almost certainly have occurred with or without the hostage deal.
Despite having some reservations about the merits of the hostage agreement, “I don’t see any tangible connection between the $6 billion and this Hamas war,” said Matthew Levitt, a senior fellow at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, a think tank that focuses on the Middle East.

Israel needs to respond to Gaza with a WWII Dresden / Tokyo response and turn the Strip into a firestorm inferno. Not everything there is stone and it will burn just fine. Israel, as the US, is not a signatory to any treaty concerning the military use of Willie Pete, so rain fire from the sky and the resulting fires will do the rest.
Israel has already turned off the electricity to Gaza, about 90% of their consumption. They now need to bomb Gaza’s power plant and electric distribution infrastructure, water works, sewerage facilities, and gasoline and fuel storage along with any concentrated food supplies. Then the IAF should systematically target any building left standing, block by block. Leave them nothing but a wasteland!
