State Department Deputy Spokesman Vedant Patel told reporters in a briefing on Tuesday that the U.S. shares the goal of “degrading, NOT defeating Hamas” — in an obvious shift of U.S. policy on the Gaza war.
All that’s missing here is Biden’s implied threat to delay or cut off delivery of U.S. arms, ammunition, and defensive weapons that Israel has already paid for and desperately needs to defeat Hamas.

There is the big problem that Joe Biden and other government leaders in the United States are ignorant of how Hamas operates and how the teachings of Islamic Jihad determines how Hamas operates. It is clear that any cease fire that allows Hamas to continue to exist, Hamas will use the cease fire to regroup, build up strength and fight Israel again. Also Hamas will never change its objective that Israel must be destroyed and all the Jewish people dead and gone. Also because of all the atrocities that Hamas committed and its purposes Hamas must be completely destroyed. Hamas cannot be allowed to continue to exist.
After 9/11 I do not remember any restraints placed on the US. I can say that having been in Kabul in 2002 that our military held nothing back in our fight against al-Qaeda and Bin Laden. Now the fool in the White House is telling the Israelis that they really don’t have the right to finish the job and to permit their mortal enemy to resupply its arsenal of weapons and humans to fight again at a later date. It is disgusting to be an American and having to witness such depravity from my own government.
