…despite having held radical Islamic views, despite repeatedly having his life threatened, even now, because he left Islam.
Ridvan grew up in a very religious Turkish family in Germany and was initially very receptive to radical Islamic propaganda. However, he quickly realized that the ideology was flawed and evil, causing him to leave Islam and encouraging other Muslims to also become apostates. Many countries in the Muslim world have outlawed apostasy, a “crime” for which the punishment can be execution.
I, like him, embrace the word “islamaphobe”, but I do break it down if and when I’m confronted, often leaving the accuser speechless. I simply point out the death sentence within islamic culture for gay people, then ask why is my fear “irrational” given islam wants me dead. That breakdown and scenario is enough to silence my accuser, as well as educate them that islam wants THEM dead too. Everyone in the western world should fear islam, and there is nothing irrational about it. But, at the same time, embracing it takes the power out of the word, giving the power back to the one embracing it.
I’m going to immediately share this video with my female Moslem coworker. 😄
She’s acting extra pious due to Ramadan. Creeps me out that she won’t even drink water. But goes to toilet all the time. Disgusting creature.
And yay for Apostate Prophet.
There’s no such thing as an “islamophobe”.
I am a Christian. I often watch The Apostate Prophet on YouTube. It is fascinating to hear how Islam views the world ! I appreciate his work. Many people have come to see the absurdity of Islam thru A.P..
Me, too. He is very good.
He’s not an Islamophobe, as a phobia is an unnatural, irrational fear of something. Just sayin 🙂
His words, not mine.
