Ilhan Omar’s daughter, Isra Hirsi, was suspended from Barnard College over her involvement in disruptive anti-Israel protests on Columbia University’s Morningside campus at which scores of demonstrators were arrested.
NY Post (h/t Nita) Minnesota Democrat Congressmuslim Ilhan Omar’s daughter, Isra Hirsi, revealed “I just received notice that I am 1 of 3 students suspended for standing in solidarity with Palestinians Hamas facing a genocide” the 21-year-old wrote on X. (What she means is she is standing in solidarity with terror group Hamas that is committed to the eradication of of Israel and a genocide of the Jewish people)
“I’m an organizer with CU Apartheid Divest @ColumbiaSJP, in my 3 years at @BarnardCollege I have never been reprimanded or received any disciplinary warnings,” she added.
Hirsi was one of more than 100 pro-Hamas protesters who were hauled away in cuffs by the NYPD Thursday afternoon after they erected a tent city on the campus of the $90,000-per-year Ivy League school.
By late afternoon Thursday the protests had dispersed, and cleaning crews were brought in to disassemble and remove dozens of tents that littered the campus.
As the daughter of a controversial and outspoken Islamic terrorist-supporting congresswoman, whose own eyebrow-raising statements have led to accusations of being anti-American and anti-Semitic, Hirsi has spent much of her life attending demonstrations.
She attended her first protest at age six, according to Vice. In 2015, at 12, Hirsi joined her family at a Black Lives Matter protest that forced Mall of America to shut down and required over 200 police officers, including 50 riot cops to restore order.
On Thursday, Hirsi and the two other students – identified as Maryam Iqbal and Soph Dinu — received notice of their suspension from Barnard Dean, Leslie Grinage, the anti-Israel student group Apartheid Divest said in a statement.
“This decision is based on information received from Columbia University Public Safety that you have been involved in an unauthorized encampment on the Columbia University campus and you have not ceased participation in this unauthorized encampment despite repeated requests from Barnard and Columbia on April 17, 2024 that you do so,” the dean’s email read, according to the student group.
The Barnard junior — who is one of three children Rep. Omar shares with her ex-husband Ahmed Hirsi – had shared footage of herself participating in the controversial protest a day earlier, calling it a “huge historic moment.”
In a follow up tweet revealing her suspension, a defiant Hirsi said protestors “will not be intimidated.” “We will stand resolute until our demands are met. Our demands include divestment from companies complicit in genocide, transparency of @Columbia’s investments and FULL amnesty for all students facing repression,” she wrote.
Hirsi, who describes herself on X as an “angry black girl,” has fired off a barrage of tweets as the school’s anti-Israel protests rage on, including one posted by her mom, saying she was “in solidarity” with rallying students.
Omar, a fae-left commie Democrat, was booted by Republicans from the powerful Foreign Affairs Committee in February last year over her anti-Semitic comments. Over less than five years in office, Omar has racked up an impressive catalog of anti-American, anti-Semitic, antagonistic and often bizarre statements, including accusing the US and Israel of committing war crimes.
At least 100 protesters were cuffed and hauled away on Thursday afternoon when NYPD cops in riot gear swarmed the campus after the president made the bombshell decision to clear a large anti-Israel protest encampment. After the busts, other Columbia protesters moved to block the fleet of NYPD corrections buses transporting the suspects away from the scene. Dozens of cops in body armor and face shields descended on the Morningside Heights campus shortly after 1 p.m. and surrounded the encampment of a few dozen tents, which went up on Wednesday morning.
Cops storm Columbia, bust 108 anti-Israel protesters after university prez finally tells NYPD to clear campus.
NY Post More than 100 protesters were cuffed and hauled away from Columbia University when NYPD cops in riot gear swarmed the campus Thursday after the president made the bombshell decision to clear a large anti-Israel protest encampment. At least 108 protesters — including some who had to be carried away — were quickly filed onto waiting NYPD corrections buses.
A huge crowd of other demonstrators then defiantly swarmed to the police vehicles to temporarily block them from leaving the scene. In the wake of the busts, officers then set about tearing down dozens of tents and dumping them in the trash.
“I applaud the cops. They are doing the right thing,” one 20-year-old Columbia student, who didn’t want to be named, told The Post. “We don’t feel safe. We fear for our lives.” “Remember who started this? Hamas, that terrorist group,” he added. “We pay a lot of money to come here and we should feel safe and protected.”
Columbia President Minouche Shafik announced she “authorized” the NYPD to crack down on the encampment. It comes after Shafik had sent a letter to the NYPD’s deputy commissioner of legal matters Wednesday asking cops to step in because students were now “trespassing” on school property in the wake of their suspensions.
Dozens of students occupied the camp on Columbia’s South Lawn, which went up Wednesday morning, even after the administration had warned participants to clear out by 9 p.m. Wednesday — or risk preliminary suspensions.
The NYPD arrested 108 protesters — including Isra Hirsi, the daughter of “Squad” Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) — all of whom were slapped with trespassing summonses. Two of those protesters were also handed obstruction of governmental administration summonses.
When cops first entered the campus, they warned demonstrators they would be arrested if they did not clear out. Armed with bags of zip ties, the officers then set about detaining those who ignored the warnings.
What to know about the anti-Semitism controversy at Columbia University:
-
Columbia University president Minouche Shafik was accused of “gross negligence” while testifying before the House Education and Workforce Committee about antisemitic incidents at the school and pro-Palestinian indoctrination. Shafik defended the school’s response after Oct. 7, but refused to tell lawmakers at the hearing if the phrase “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” is antisemitic.
-
A report from the Ivy League school’s Task Force on Antisemitism found “repeated violations by student groups” at Columbia after the Oct. 7 Hamas terror attacks in Israel.
-
Ahead of the hearing, Jewish students told The Post that they have been targeted and witnessed antisemitism at the Morningside Heights campus. The Columbia University Jewish Alumni Association told The Post that the college’s administrators must “do their job” in reining in unauthorized student protests.
-
Shortly after the Oct. 7 attacks, more than 100 Columbia professors signed a letter defending students who support the “military action” by Hamas.
-
In February, an antisemitic poster depicting Israel as a skunk appeared on campus — which experts liken to a propaganda poster used by the Nazis in World War II.
-
An unsanctioned “Resistance 101” event was held on campus in March by a Palestinian activist with alleged ties to a group labeled a terror organization by the US. Four students who participated were later suspended by Columbia.
-
While the congressional hearing was in progress, Columbia students erected 60 tents on campus to demand that the university divest from Israel. One of the leaders of the protests, Ilhan Omar’s daughter, Isra Hirsi, was suspended from Barnard College — a women’s college affiliated with Columbia.
-
Shocking video footage captured a protester near the university declare, “We’re all Hamas” and “Long live Hamas” Wednesday. Another protester was arrested Wednesday night for repeatedly hitting and scratching an NYPD cop, according to law enforcement officials.
-
On Thursday, dozens of other protesters were arrested after Shafik announced the campus’ closure.

The younger jihadi skank is posing with a Starbucks drink her hand. No surprise there.

The NYPD should have pepper sprayed the protestors as they were being hauled off in cuffs for their non-compliance.
As for the ringleaders of the protest and subsequent tent city being erected, nothing short of expulsion should have been the end result.

Please send them to back to the shit hole they come from with her asshole brother asap.

Isra says demonstrators wont be intimidated. Well her body language says something else. Probably mama sais she will protect her. Expulsion, loss of any grades, no refund of any money spent, and being trespassed would be a good start

You can’t criticize us because it is our religion and we are The Religion of Peace.
Of course we want to enslave everybody and kill those who will not willingly give us the Jizya Tax that Allah says you owe us, and willingly submit to our rule, but to oppose us is Islamophobic.
And since it is our religion you can’t criticize that we want to kill all the Jews except for those we need as doctors, engineers and scientists. And then there will be peace, except when we then abide by Allah’s commands to kill the polytheists and Christian and atheists and other nonbelievers. Well then there will be peace. Except then we have to kill all the apostates who either left Islam or follow false forms of Islam. Then there will be peace and it will be proven to all who remain we are The Religion of Peace!
So you better not be Islamophobic because we are the real victims and anybody who says otherwise will be called racists by those atheist communists who support us to take down the laws of man so we can all live under Allah’s Laws the Shari’a!
