BNI MENTAL HEALTH BREAK: When you can’t get a babysitter….
Thank you, BNI.
This is a much needed respite from the Hamas terror groups in our daily lives.
I will keep these three videos in mind when I go to sleep with a smile.
I take the opportunity, under this beautiful topic, to wish you, Bonnie, and all the Jewish readers “Chag Pesach Sameach”. And may God’s abundant presence encourage and strenghten all the people in Israel, especially the families of the hostages and the fallen. Am Yisrael Chai.
Nice to see something not violent or upsetting. The horse knows that a baby is in front of him and yes animals have the same emotions as we do only we wont let them have them because to give them would end our being able to use and abuse them as we like. I grew up with dogs and cats around me and i hung around with them because they are honest and caring but my own kind is not. Animals are no different to us in feelings, they want a good meal or a good place to be just as we do and the only difference in us are our wishes then a horse would never wish for a nice car but a fat carrot or a flush pasture, so you see we all have emotions and wishes. The important thing is animals are honest.
Exactly that is how you do it. i also walk around with a few goodies in my pocket then in the days of money wasting the ones on the bottom go out emty amd i see this in all of the animal shelters here and on the street where they turn the poor animal free. I can watch a human die but to do the same by an animal makes me more than sad then this animal was more worth and a better enrichment than the many humans.I would kill for an animal but not for any human, not ever again.
The sugar is for very special moments and should not be given daily. When you do it that way the horse or animal will notice that and it will be special for it too. That is the thing carrotts are the norm and szgar is the speciallity.
Communication without language in it’s purest form ! babies and horses know how to do this naturally the rest of us are left with guessing what was understood.
I know you love horses Bonni. This is lovely to see, they are just so gentle even though they are so large and powerful. I have just been watching a great movie called “War Horse”, maybe you would like to download that? I can provide a URL on my own web server to do that.
Gday Bonni now we know what Louie s other job is when carrot lady is away typing up inputs for your website Nice one and that shows how smart horses are shall we call it HORSE SENSE
love it .
I could tell you several stories of horses displaying very human type emotions and understanding of events and language you would never believe possible.
Thank you, BNI.

Thank you, Sofia. Check out the Passover post I just put up.

Yes, they are. Whenever I go to the stable where I keep my horse, I take at least 5 pounds of carrots to give to all the other horses, too.

Me too! I have a nickname at the barn: “carrot lady.”
Good name but a little sugar with the carrots works wonders around horses.
I try not to give horses sugar. Too much is one of the causes of Cushing’s disease.

My horse’s favorite treat is Nutragrain bars – apple cinnamon.
Thank you for this MHB! The videos made me laugh out loud. God bless BNI!
