AUSTRALIA: Opposition political leaders vehemently oppose admission of Gaza ‘refugees’ as they pose a threat to national security
“The appropriate number of Hamas sympathizers in Australia should be ZERO,” according to former Prime Minister Tony Abbott. “Anyone we take from Gaza right now, should be assumed to be a Hamas sympathizer.”
SKY News Dutton expressed concerns over the potential security risks associated with admitting individuals from the war-torn region, urging Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to clarify the vetting process for these arrivals.
One Nation Leader Pauline Hanson has also thrown her support behind Opposition Leader Peter Dutton, who has called for the Australian government to reject all visa applications from Gaza.
During a recent interview, Hanson voiced her agreement with Dutton’s stance, citing the high level of support for Hamas in Gaza as a key reason for her position. “I totally agree with him,” Hanson stated, emphasising that nearly 3,000 people from Gaza have applied for visas, but their backgrounds cannot be thoroughly investigated due to the lack of reliable documentation.
Hanson’s remarks echoed sentiments from former Prime Minister Tony Abbott, who described the vetting process as “impossible.” Abbott stressed that any individual arriving from Gaza could potentially sympathise with Hamas, a designated terrorist organisation.
Hanson further criticised the speed at which visas are being granted, arguing that the process is being rushed and does not adequately safeguard Australian interests. She raised concerns that the government is admitting people who may pose a security threat without proper scrutiny.
Speaking to Sky News on Wednesday evening, Ms Hanson said Australia should not be taking in any refugees from Gaza over fears it could stoke higher security concerns after the recently increased terror threat level to ‘probable’.
“I totally agree with him,” Ms Hanson said, before pointing to the large majority of people in Gaza supporting Hamas, a listed terrorist organisation which orchestrated the October 7 terrorist attack on Israel.
“Nearly 3000 people applied for visas to actually come out to Australia, we don’t know what their background is and it’s only purely based on documentation they filled out because investigations can’t be done into their births, deaths and marriages.”
According to Senate Estimates from late May, 2,686 Gazan refugees have been granted visas since the Israel-Hamas conflict began while 4,614 Palestinians had their visitor visas refused. Ms Hanson said if the Palestinians who arrive in the country from Gaza claim refugee status, Australia would be “stuck with them” without knowing who they were.
“They should be going to a safe haven, a country closest to them, but a lot of these Arab countries don’t want them either.
Not surprisingly, Dutton was told to “stop being racist” (Islam is NOT a race) by a far-left parliamentarian during a heated discussion. Independent MP Zali Steggall made the remarks during a speech criticising centre-right Liberal Party leader Peter Dutton for his call this week to bar refugees from Gaza due to the risk they could be Hamas sympathizers.

I saw those stories on DaIly Mail and I could barely make it through a few paragraphs. I try very hard to control my anger, especially with Daily Mail. I no longer read the piece of trash.
I do agree with BNI when she writes there might be another attempt on Trump’s life. His security detail is so strong now, by far more than any previous contender.
But there is also the issue of election rigging and we see all the fear they are trying to instore in us with that new monkeypox. If they decide to bring us back to the Covid era restrictions, vote rigging will be much easier.
I’m not worried about his own security staff, I don’t trust the Secret Service anymore. They allowed that shooter to stay on the roof even after several people reported him.
