In Canada, many government officials with peace officer status are unarmed. Efforts to get armed are uphill battles all the way. Government seems more interested in arming foreign armies than our own local authorities that serve to protect us. Yet, the national security threat level is “Medium”, which means an attack could occur at any time! The elected Member of Parliament local constituency office has a controlled access door….to the public. Safety for me…..not for thee!
