Anas Said, 28, admitted to planning the terror attack from his far west Houston apartment, FBI officials said. He’s also accused of attempting to provide “material support” to the Islamic State (ISIS). The FBI says he planned potential attacks within the United States, targeting specific Israelis and prominent locations.
Houston Public Media (h/t Jesse P) Officials said he also admitted to researching how to conduct an attack on local military recruiting centers, offering his home as a safe sanctuary to ISIS operatives, bragging he would commit a “9/11-style” attack if he had the resources and attempting to produce ISIS propaganda.
Said produced five videos and made two images for dissemination. Officials said he became increasingly radicalized in the wake of the Oct. 7, 2023 attacks by Hamas against Israel.
When I first saw his last name, I couldn’t help but wonder if he was related to fellow Islamic POS Yaser Said.

20 years is inadequate as he should have life and his family should be returned to their islamic country. We desperately need to face the reality that the text /values/laws/example of mohammad in islam simply cannot coexist with others in a civilised, safe world. No government should allow an ideology that demands the slaughter of others and the installation of their barbarity and whose treatment of females is horrific. The ideology and its followers must be denied entry or our children will suffer endless terror. This is only a problem with islam. If muslims want to follow this sadism and depravity they must be made to do it in the muslim majority countries where others don’t exist at all or are viciously persecuted. Islam and its followers should be banned from entry to the countries of others as our governments are supposed to protect our safety and sovereignty.
