Having ousted Bashar al-Assad from power, the new Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (formerly al-Qaeda & ISIS-linked) HTS leaders in Syria are handing over truckloads of weapons to the Israeli Defense Forces.
Weapons and ammo left behind by the Syrian Arab Army were surrendered to Israeli forces—hundreds of crates containing the Assad regime’s weapons loaded in IDF trucks. ‘Chemical warfare materials’ are part of the weapons cache that was handed over by Syrians to IDF. The weapons collected by Syrians include hand grenades nd crateloads of chemical grenades.
Rebels who ousted Assad reportedly also helped in collecting weapons left behind. IDF said that the Syrian Druze community helped to collect weapons looted from SAA military sites on IDF’s request. IDF entered Syrian territory soon after the rebels took control of Damascus.
HTS leader, Abu Mohammed al-Jilani claims to want to focus on state building rather than engaging in new conflicts with Israel. But can a group directly related to terrorism be trusted not to want war with the Jews or is this just a stalling mechanism to get the Israelis out of the picture now that they have destroyed most of Assad’s weapons arsenal?
i24 News “There are no excuses for any foreign intervention in Syria now after the Iranians have left,” Abu Mohammed al-Jolani, told Syrian state media. “We are not in the process of engaging in a conflict with Israel.” HTS leader pointedly referred to the Jewish state by its name, rather than “the Zionist entity” or “the enemy.”
“We have ready plans for development and rebuilding in Syria, to address all its crises, and we are currently in the information-gathering phase,” Jolani further added. “Syria needs law and a state of institutions, the state must not be governed with a revolutionary mindset.”

Turkey will not give unlimited support or attack Israel directly.

This guy, Abu Mohammed al-Jilani wants to change Syria and rebuild? Well, I have an excellent idea. Raise the Israeli flag and declare Syria as a new part of the Jewish State of Israel.

Maybe Al Julani has found a way to move all weapons out of Syria, so people or other factions and groups cannot resist to his regime.
