I, as a mature Brit, have lived in SE Asia for a couple of decades and I have no intention of ever returning to the Western World as it is full full of crazy people and where I live is civilized.

Eternal vigilance is the price of freedom. Japan USED to be extremely restrictive towards Muslim immigration, but not that much anymore. They used to give out massive aid to war torn Muslim nations just to quiet them down. Now under scrutiny of leftist elements, there is a small but vibrant Muslim community taking shape in Japan. Given that Japan has a negative population growth, and Muslims’ penchant to expand their population in geometric progression, it is a matter of time before they will pose a threat to the Japanese way of life!

I am a Permanent Resident of Japan and have lived here more than 25 years.
Japan is taking in more and more immigrants due to the population curve. Some are from Indonesia but many are from India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Vietnam.
As for Islam: You are correct – Japan will absolutly not let it get that far. Neither will any other Northeast Asian country.

Good for the Japanese. They are not pussies. They do have Muslums, unfortunately. I think what they really despise are Africans.
There are a lot of Indonesian Muslims there on temporary work visas. It is nearly impossible to get citizenship there if you are not Japanese, even if you are married to one.
When I lived in the Japans (mid nineties) there was only one musk, in Kobe, built in 1935. When I travelled back to visit friends and do some further work for Shimizu (late nineties), I believe there were a couple mor musks, built in 1998. I knew a senior inspector for Tochigi Ken, he told me that officers, in Toktyo, would follow mohammedans from their musk to their home, being certain to be seen. Japan is very strict as I recall. I was there twice on 2 different visas: Student the first time and Work the second time. If I failed to show up at the immigration office to renew them every 3 months, I knew that officials would hunt me down and kick me out.
