This short film from the Israel Forever Foundation marks International Holocaust Memorial Day, observed annually on January 27th—the day that marks the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, the largest Nazi death camp, by Soviet troops in 1945. This year commemorates its 80th anniversary.

The below film features a powerful excerpt from Elie Wiesel’s address to the United Nations on the inaugural Holocaust Memorial Day. It serves as a poignant reminder to honor the memory of the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust, along with the countless others persecuted by the Nazi regime and its collaborators.
Today, we are witnessing a rise in antisemitism worldwide, with scenes reminiscent of 1930s Germany. We must remind ourselves that human beings committed these atrocities—and human beings are capable of doing it again. That is why we must never forget and never stop fighting for truth, justice, and the dignity of every individual.

Never again is every single day from yesterday, today and tomorrow but the politics here in europe have forgotten this and we see daily that they mean it too , dont we.
Apologies – that version of the video in my first post contains may repetitions – this is a preferable version and shorter:
Everyone should watch this* – the definitive true record, made at the time of the discovery and liberation of the Nazi death camps by personnel of the Allied forces. I remember watching similar footage – perhaps or even probably – from the same source – when I was a child of about 10 years, at my family home in north-east England on the newly acquired black and white television set with one channel – the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC)! Can one imagine that this could be shown on public TV today? Yet it has to be seen in my opinion.
*you will need to create a Youtube account to watch – or watch one of the abridged versions available.
