Not only that, the UAE designated CAIR (Council on American Islamic Relations) as a terrorist organization more than ten years ago. And they were the first country to sign onto the Trump-brokered Abraham Accords with Israel.

DHABI, 15th November 2014 (WAM) — The UAE Cabinet has approved a list of Designated Terrorist Organizations and Groups in implementation of Federal Law No. 7 for 2014 on combating terrorist crimes, issued by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the Cabinet’s own resolution on the designation of terrorist organisations that provided for the publication of the lists in the media for the purposes of transparency and to raise awareness in society about these organisations.

CAIR is listed on the 10th line from the bottom:

From the above article:
‘All citizens of the UAE are deemed to be Muslims. Conversion to other religions (and by implication, advocacy of atheism) is forbidden and the legal punishment for conversion from Islam is death. Although in practice there have been no known prosecutions or legal punishments for apostasy in court.’
Yeah friend to the free world…NOT.
UAE, where two women were raped (one an Australian woman who was GANG RAPED) and when the women reported the fact to the all moslame authorities they were arrested and charged w/adultery.
I believe the UAE also funds islamic terrorism, at least covertly.
I think that this Trump’s idea is simply brilliant, and I believe the Palestinians will eventually see it and accept it.
So far, they are under the impression that things will go as usual, and money will keep pouring in.
But now there is nowhere that the money could come from. The USA will not give it, and Trump has stopped funding the UN help organizations, the EU is in deep trouble with all the spending for Ukraine and its other problems, Iran will get worse and worse under Trump’s sanctions and the new Arab leaders seem to not want to waste their money on the “Palestinian cause”, they focus on development and international connections.
Perhaps, China could and would like to do it to set its foot in the Mediterranean, but its own interests will not necessarily coincide with the Palestinians’ cause, plus the Chinese would not be eager to go so openly against Trump, now that he declared that Gaza would be American territory -another brilliant move. The ones that would probably be interested in advancing this cause, are Turkey and Qatar. But I doubt it that they would dare, knowing that Trump would crush them economically. [For which reason, I so much wish that Erdogan would try to. But he is too smart to, unless his fanaticism prevails. How nice if Allah instructed him to!]
Anyway, conditions in Gaza now are terrible, I saw a short video the other day, and it was raining and it really was a very miserable sight. So, again Pr. Trump is so right to say that people cannot keep living there. It’s impossible, especially if you take into account that the demolition should continue -it would be utterly stupid to build without destroying all the remaining tunnels and detonating all bomb traps, etc.
Plus, the soil should be very contaminated by now, and how are the Gazans going to get food? Who is going to sustain them during those long years of demolition and construction? Unfortunately, they didn’t produce anything, apart from some food, and that’s a tragedy resulting from that “humanitarian” approach of giving them so much money all these years. Besides, if they are to stay there, they would need some temporary housing, which will add to the expenses of reconstruction.
And why would anyone give all that money and make all that effort for free? Wouldn’t it look as if the Palestinians are rewarded for what they did? Wouldn’t it be an encouragement to keep living in the same way? Especially, since they do not seem to have expressed any changes in their thinking.
Which brings me to my last argument that I consider to be one of the first in importance. Moving away from that place will help them to get disentangled from the idea, which Hamas has continually been reinforcing in the new generations, that the sole purpose of their lives is to destroy Israel. They will start looking for regular jobs and for building up regular lives and careers, which will not be purposed by killing and get killed.
Great analysis. Hope you’re right.
Having had the opportunity to work in many of the Arab nations, the UAE is by far the most western in outlook. While I was working temporarily working at the Embassy in Abu Dhabi, I met a friend from Australia who was working as a college professor and we had dinner together. He told me that our church was permitted to hold services and the local emir would occasionally attend. As in all Muslim nations, he was not permitted to become a member for obvious reasons but as I said, he would attend once in a while.
Yes, UAE is pretty good for a Muslim nation.
