Rabbi Meir Kahane, founder of the JDL (Jewish Defense League) who tried to warn the West about the growing Islamic threat decades ago, was shot dead in New York City in 1990 by an Egyptian-Muslim, El Sayyid Nosair. Nosair was acquitted of the murder on a technicality, but later convicted for his role in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.

JVL Rabbi Meir Kahane,was born in Brooklyn, NY, on August 1, 1932. That the same man can be referred to as both a “visionary hero of the Jewish people” and as a “criminal racist,” testifies to the controversial nature of Kahane, his followers, and the various organizations that he founded.
His life’s work, however, started in 1968, when he founded the Jewish Defense League (JDL). Kahane saw many of the poor and elderly Jews living in the inner-city being targeted by criminals; as a result, he set out to change the image of the Jew from “weak and vulnerable” to one of a “mighty fighter, who strikes back fiercely against tyrants.”
The JDL’s controversial methods, which frequently included the threat of, or actual violence, greatly exacerbated the Black-Jewish tension. JDL coined the phrases “Never again,” and “every Jew a .22” to emphasize that Jews would no longer passively ignore the plight of their foreign brethren.
Kahane is wrong about Rome, they had no animus towards Israel, in point of fact Republican Rome was ALLIES with Israel on at least two occasions against the Seleucid empire (whom the Maccabees ultimately defeated). This alliance was under the Roman Republic. The Roman Empire loved Israel for all the tax dollars they extorted from her citizens but did build public baths and a modern port. It was Bar Kochba’s revolt (that annihilated an entire Roman legion) against the Roman Empire that set the Romans off.
Back in 1970s olden times my best friend and I did a backpack tour of the UK. Getting off a bus in central London an elderly lady took my arm and proceeded to warn me about the Asians, how they would rule if we young people didn’t watch it, et al. I never forgot that from the trip. Weird.

I think they managed to blacken Rav Kahane’s name, calling him racist; etc. The prosecution was extremely slipshod. Also, the people besides Nosair who murdered Rav Kahane later went on to blow up the WTC tower in 1993. 9/11 finished the towers off.
They absolutely destroyed his reputation, both here and in Israel. Don’t forget, way back then, all the Kibutzniks and a lot of other Israelis were very far left wing and sympathetic to the Arabs. That’s why they hated him.
El Sayyid Nosair had an excellent, leftist attorney, William Kuntsler. Who paid him might be a more interesting question.
