In a major counterterrorism operation, U.S. President Donald Trump announced the killing of ISIS (Islamic State) leader, Abdullah Maki Musleh al-Rifai, known as Abu Khadija, in Iraq. The mission also resulted in the elimination of another key ISIS member.

Trump hailed the operation stating: “Today the fugitive leader of ISIS in Iraq was killed. He was relentlessly hunted down by our intrepid warfighters. His miserable life was terminated in coordination with the Iraqi Government and the Kurdish Regional Government.” Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani confirmed Abu Khadija’s death, marking a significant blow to ISIS operations.
Khadija was a high-ranking figure within the terror network, once considered a potential successor to ISIS’s global leadership. His death deals a severe setback to ISIS activities in Iraq and beyond, further weakening its influence.
“I killed 900 people, raped 50 young girls and 200 women,” boasts an Islamic State terrorist as he proudly describes what he did to Yazidis and Christians.
Happy “International Day to Combat Islamophobia!”
