The Islamic law is clear on this issue. A man can be convicted of adultery ONLY if FOUR male witnesses have actually witnessed the penetration! Where there is a shortfall in male witnesses, two female witnesses for every male witness need to have watched the act for a charge and conviction of adultery against a man. This gives rise to a disproportionate number of women being stoned for adultery since the burden of proof does not rise to this high a level. Charges of adultery brought against a couple where the man goes scott free and the women being stoned to the hereafter are pretty common in nations where Sharia is the law.

It is next to impossible to prove a charge of rape against a man. Four male witnesses, or the equivalent number of female witnesses (2 women for every man) need to have observed not just the rape, but the act of penetration for the charge of rape to stick on a man. Only under a compromised Shariah court could a man be convicted of rape and stoned to death.
