My heart breaks for my two grandfathers. One fought in M4 Sherman tanks, the other on Navy corvettes trying to sink U-boats. Having worked alongside many excellent British Officers and Enlisted Men and Women about forty years ago while serving at SHAPE Belgium, I can only imagine what they are going through. Many of the men and women fought in the Falklands and were very courageous. Being in Vietnam (did not volunteer) was a duty and having to witness the protests was extremely disheartening. I wonder what will happen if these English men and women in uniform are told to attack their own brothers and sisters.
When Mr BNI and his fellow Marines got off the plane in Los Angeles, after 18 months in Vietnam, there was a “welcoming” party of leftie scum who spit on them.
