I LOVE THIS!
Limbani is a rescue chimpanzee in Florida.
He got depressed at the sanctuary. He missed his humans. They cared for him temporarily after he was rescued. So a caretaker took him for a visit…
This reunion will break your heart and put it back together again.♥️ pic.twitter.com/6o8uZlyfi6

There are lots of these types of videos on YouTube. I watch a few daily. Maybe someday we’ll realize that the other sentient beings on this planet deserve our love and consideration also. People as unlike each other as Jiddu Krishnamurti and Richard Feynman have both stated that to simply observe, without judgment, is to know. Someday, just watch an animal. Don’t think of it as food or a pest or a bird or a fox or an elephant or a lizard or whatever. Simply observe and you will begin to see its true nature. Maybe that animal is here not to be food or “sport” slaughter, but to teach you compassion.
Indeed.
As I watch this I’m surrounded by my 10 rescue dogs. We take only the “unwanted, unadoptable”-they’re old, or blind, or deaf, or need an operation or medication. And once they get that, they’re reborn. They could be 13 but it’s the first day w/o pain and fear…
To me the greatest indictment of islam is that they are exactly the opposite-they love the torture and pain of these innocents. For that reason alone they are anathema.
You are an angel. People who rescue animals are the best. 🥰
There’s an ahadith, I’m not sure if it’s sahih (which translates as authentic I believe) in which Mad Mo cuts off the sleeve of his robe in order to not to disturb a cat sleeping on it. It’s probably not sahih, but I’m not sure if that means it’s completely discounted or not.
I saw a video where a guy who had raised an orphaned gorilla and released him back into nature came back to visit the gorilla and his family. The gorilla hugged him as well. The gorilla’s wives and family must have been shocked when he brought a human to visit them.
So adorable. Thanks, Bonni~!
I put myself in the chimp’s “shoes” and could feel his emotions.
I look at my little dog, when she stares into my eyes, the same way.
With all that’s going on today, I needed that…
Me, too!
Did you ever see the Japanese Macaques that have their own hot springs baths when you were in JP? The Japanese constructed special hot springs baths for these monkeys because they were competing w/humans for the other hot springs baths at the location so the monkeys got their own private, hot springs baths.
I saw some of them but never wanted to partake in communal baths.
