I am afraid, you are absolutely right, J. Mish. Islam can never go together with freedom and peace.
Even if a person with the best intentions takes over, the Muslims will be constantly trying to overthrow him, because they will think it is their duty before Allah, since he is not pious enough to apply sariah law. And then, that person will inevitably become a dictator, albeit for a good cause. In order to safeguard his rulership from the Muslims, he will have to throw his opponents in jail. And the circle will start forming again.
This is what President Trump understood and decided to open up to the Arab nations, and said something to the effect, “They have different traditions, and this cannot change, at least in our lifetime”. I hope and pray that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob [how wise that the Bible clarifies it so well], I hope that He has other plans for a more quick change, which only He can bring.
Maybe the change in Iran will be the beginning, but certainly it will not be the whole thing. Having said that, I believe that the Christians that will come out of Iran will be a glorious church, and a wonderful testimony to the whole world, and especially in Asia. I can’t wait to see them coming to light.
When the Ayatollah’s regime has fallen, it would be nice if the democratic republic that takes over, would officially re-name the Country, Persia again. Besides being a wonderful memory of days gone by, it has a magical sound to it. That would also keep the map making industry afloat.
Send the B2 bombers to Frodow Trump ! step in deliver the knock out blow step out of the theater make the example to the free world of real peace thru strength .
