They use the word “Nikahnama” to describe Moslame marriages. They’re legal contracts as per Shariah law.
It’s like a BRIDE PRICE but Moslame marriages usually come with a term of expiry as per the Nikahnama contract. You pay a fixed amount of money (in advance) and you get a Moslame wife. It’s considered halal to fornicate only after the agreed upon amount is received.
Prophet Mo turned marriage into a transactional business affair. Very few Moslames believe in mating for life. Wives are viewed as chattel/property which was indeed the case with all otther cultures in the mediieval aera including the Hindus and Christians.
However, non-Muslims grew out of that time capsule. Moslames, on the other hand, are still stuck in the 7th century. Countries like Turkey are more progressive though.
