Besides farmers and ranchers that ran stock cows, placing rings in the noses of their bulls, I knew some pig farmers that placed rings in the nose of their sows to stop them from rooting.
I am somewhat surprised, since most pork production is confinement facility based to see some sow still with a nose ring. Are some smaller operators still farrowing pigs with huts in the pasture? If so, send her back.
