I was in Belgium a couple of times, the last being 2005. Great waffles. Still no issues that I noticed but then again, it was 20 years ago when Europe was still a great place to visit.
I visited Belgium many many times when I lived in Germany during the 1970s and most Europeans will tell you that it was THE most boring country in ALL of Western Europe and I think the main reason the EU Parliament was built there is because it was cheaper property and the leaders of Belgium would see that folks would now pay attention to Belgium.
