Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) calls on FBI to investigate the ‘dangerous threat to national security’ activities of the Palestinian Youth Movement

Cotton specifically pointed to remarks that Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM) leader, Aisha Nizar, made at the People’s Conference for Palestine in Michigan, where she, per the letter, “openly called on supporters to disrupt the U.S. military’s F-35 fighter jet supply chain.” Cotton added that this was part of Nizar’s call to “damage U.S. military support to Israel in their lawful war against Hamas.”

Breitbart (h/t Nita) The senator reminded Patel that this is not the first time he has raised concerns about PYM specifically and their “antisemitic activities, along with their likely illegal receipt of tax exempt donations.” The organization, he continued, is filled with “bad actors, like Nizar who was arrested and charged for her role in the 2024 Gaza war protests that trapped motorists on the Golden Gate Bridge.”

“She has now taken her anti-American and anti-semitic bigotry a step further and is directly endangering U.S. national security,” he continued, explaining that Nizar’s latest statements stand as a “direct incitement of violence against U.S. national security interests by advocating for actions against the men and women who build the F-35 and seeking to imperil the delivery of one of the nation’s most strategic assets.”

He continued: I urge the Federal Bureau of Investigation to immediately examine Nizar’s actions and take any necessary actions to mitigate the threat. The U.S. defense supply chain is a key to our military’s ability to fight and win wars. We must protect that supply chain from all enemies, foreign and domestic.

Cotton, last month, also called on the IRS to investigate and reject tax-exempt donations made to this terrorism-supporting group.

It should be noted that the PYM has at least one friendly face in Congress. Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) has a history of meeting with members of the terrorist-sympathizing group.

Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D., Mich.) recently met with a controversial pro-Palestinian organization that has encouraged violence against Israel, justified the use of terrorism against the Jewish state, and has called for the kidnapping of Israeli soldiers, according to online postings on social media.

Tlaib, who has been under fire for her hatred of Israel and support for the anti-Semitic Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement was pictured meeting with members of the Palestine Youth Movement during the Arab Texas Festival held recently in Dallas. The PYM organization is known for its vitriolic rhetoric against Israelis and Jews and has been caught in the past glorifying the leaders of anti-Semitic terrorist organizations.

As Free Beacon reported:

PYM has a history of anti-Israel activity that has spilled into outright hostility toward the Jewish state. This includes a 2018 event held in San Francisco in which attendees called for Israeli soldiers to be kidnapped, according to a video of that event captured by the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America, or CAMERA.

In Facebook postings PYM has memorialized so-called Palestinian martyrs, or those killed or imprisoned while carrying out terrorist attacks on Israel. At least three of those honored by the organization were known operatives of the Hamas terror group.

The Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM), a pro-Palestinian activism organization which has gained prominence on US campuses in recent years, and especially on those of the University of California, has been promoting acts of terrorism against Israel and has associated itself with US-designated terror organizations, according to an extensive new report on the organization.
