Should Putin live, and remain in control, it is doubtful that he would allow the relocation of Muslims into his country, at least not more than currently exist there. The USSR used to back Syria when it was run by the dictatorial Assad family who invaded Israel on three different occasions as well as using artillery to shell Israeli settlements and farms in Galilee from the Golan Hts. The Assad’s Syria deliberately destabilized Lebanon to make it a vassal state of Syria (they were behind the killing of an elected Christian Lebanese president). Wafa Sultan famously had to flee Syria after coming out on national TV and condemning islamic antisemitism to a Alawite cleric and admitting to being an atheist and leaving islame because she was getting continuous death threats that the all moslame authorities in Syria couldn’t care less about.

Some people in my ACT for America chapter knew her personally. She was still getting regular death threats by telephone that were so bad she moved away from her family because she was afraid they would be harmed as well. She used to carefully vet all speaking engagements she was offered.
The television interview she had in Syria was pretty damn ugly, the knuckle dragging Alawite imam/mullah/whatever at one point questioned Wafa Sultan’s faith (because she was denouncing islamic antisemitism), when she stated she was an atheist he ceased speaking to her and the “debate” ended on that note.
