The BBC has continued to use a freelance contributor in Gaza even after it emerged he had repeatedly incited violence against Jews, including posting on social media that “he would burn Jews as Hitler did.” Samer Elzaenen was used by BBC Arabic as a Gaza eyewitness and has appeared on the BBC Arabic-language branch of the UK public broadcaster more than a dozen times since Hamas’s terrorist attacks on October 7, 2023.

JPost Elzaenen, 33, who has been reporting from Gaza, has been posting a series of statements on social media that condemns Jewish people, and has also called for violence against them, the Telegraph added, noting that his social media activity in the past 10 years has endorsed and celebrated more than 30 attacks on Israeli Jewish civilians. The social media posts were originally unearthed by The Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting and Analysis (CAMERA).
He called the Hamas terrorists who entered Israel that day “resistance fighters.”
His July 2025 appearance came despite several reports in April that he had posted extremist slogans including “#WeAreAllHamas You Son of a Jewess”.
In July 2022, a post on his Facebook read: “When things go awry for us, shoot the Jews, it fixes everything,” the Telegraph reported.
He made a similar statement when he allegedly wrote on Facebook, “My message to the Zionist Jews: “We are going to take our land back, we love death for Allah’s sake the same way you love life. We shall burn you as Hitler did, but this time we won’t have a single one of you left.”

The Telegraph noted a post the BBC contributor made over two years ago on a car ramming in Jerusalem that claimed the lives of two boys aged eight and six and a 20-year-old man, saying that the “victims will soon go to hell.”
The report also quoted another BBC Arabic freelance contributor Ahmed Qannan, who expressed his hope, in response to a terror attack in January 2023 at a Jerusalem synagogue, that Israelis would die. Before the October 7 massacre, the terror attack at a synagogue in the Neve Yaakov neighborhood of the Israeli capital claimed seven lives.
Ahmed Alagha, a freelance journalist repeatedly used by the BBC, has made a number of controversial antisemitic and anti-Israel social media posts, including defending the October 7 massacre and describing Jews as “devils.”

TheJC After being contacted by the Telegraph, the BBC admitted that Elzaenen should not have been used as an expert contributor but emphasised that he was not a member of staff.
In a statement to the JC in April regarding Elzaenen, a spokesperson for the BBC said: “International journalists including the BBC are not allowed access into Gaza so we hear from a range of eyewitness accounts from the strip. These are not BBC members of staff or part of the BBC’s reporting team. We were not aware of the individuals’ social media activity prior to hearing from them on air. We are absolutely clear that there is no place for antisemitism on our services.”
In relation to his subsequent appearances, a BBC spokesperson said: “There is no place for antisemitism on our services. We strongly condemn the hateful views expressed by this individual in 2011. ” “Although he is not a full-time BBC journalist and quoting him does not mean we endorse his views, we should not have used him in this way.”
Yeah ok so let us get him and burn his ass just as he wants to burn ours. this is a must then this and only this is what they understand and all of the tolerance shit is only weakness to them so let us get our gas and matches. should anyone not be able to digest this then i would do it for him then my digestion works great.
The BBC is exactly like the CBC in Canada. They are totally owned and paid for by the Government with taxpayer money and they strictly toe the party line. If they are good boys and girls every year they get huge bonuses. No ethics, no morals, and no apologies.
The best thing u can say about the BBC is they’re weird as fuck.
That’s the nice version
I am glad the BBC condemns this man and repudiates all he says. But that is reasonable and accurate journalism to repudiate such bias and genocide as espoused by this Arab. I mean saying murdering people is a good thing is a sign of rabid insanity.
My concern is how could the BBC, a professional news organization, allow this in the first place. Any competent news agency would know this man is biased, racist, and not just anti-Semitic but anti-humanity. It took other people to figure it out.
Because The BBC is one of the biggest Islam apologists in the UK.
The bbc is FAR from being a “professional” anything.
Forced license fees and taxpayer support, not exactly a “news organization”.
Alley-hoo-ackburrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Much like CNN (read: Caliphate/Crescent News Network)!
