GERMANY: It isn’t enough to ban Muslim extremist groups that want to overthrow the government and replace it with an Islamic Caliphate

The Muslim extremists must be deported to their countries of origin for posing a grave threat to national security.

TimesUnion Berlin outlawed the group Muslim Interaktiv, saying represented a threat to the country’s constitutional order by ‘pushing for an Islamic caliphate’ to replace the German government. Raids in Hamburg, Berlin, and Hesse seized cash and data as authorities probe two linked movements, Generation Islam and Reality Islam, accused them of spreading ‘Islamic extremism.’

The government said Muslim Interaktiv sought to indoctrinate as many people as possible and “thus create permanent enemies of the constitution in order to continuously undermine the constitutional order.”

Muslim Interaktiv is known for organizing large-scale demonstrations in major cities that featured thousands of attendees. It represented a particular threat because it promoted Islam as the sole model for the social order and maintained that Islamic law should take precedence over German law in regulating life in the Muslim community. It represented a threat to the country’s constitutional order by promoting antisemitism and discrimination against women and sexual minorities.
