Our citizens with wards in public schools need to be more aware of what is happening in the school system. For example, in metro Detroit, in one of the most affluent of suburbs with a significant number of Jewish, Christian and Asian population, it is routine for children to be taken on a field trip to the local mosque, where they are shown not just the mosque but also how the faithful prey. As part of this routine, girls are shown how to wear the hijab, and students taught the prayer ritual, including the profession of faith. Doubt there was any field trip to the local Synagogue or Temple.
