FINALLY! Arab Muslims have found a reason for promoting gender equality: Female Suicide Bombers

Palestinian Authority (Fatah) honors ‘gender equality,’ says women are ‘equal partners’ in jihad terror and ‘martyrdom.’

Christine Douglass-Williams Violence against women is endemic in Palestinian culture, a culture which lacks respect for women, a disrespect that is inherent in Islamic religious texts. Among Palestinians, however, there is one exception, an area in which women are fully equal to men: they get to murder Jews as equals, and be “martyrs” as “equals,” including blowing themselves up in the process.

Yet the world does not demand an end to this culture that conditions people to accept the murder of Jews, and instructs them on how to do so. The world only slams Israel for defending itself from this barbarity.

For example:

“Men are in charge of women, because Allah has made the one superior to the other, and because they spend of their property. So good women are obedient, guarding in secret what Allah has guarded. As for those from whom you fear disobedience, give them a warning and banish them to separate beds, and beat them. Then if they obey you, do not seek a way against them. Indeed, Allah is always high, exalted, great.” (Qur’an 4:34)

In two recent videos, PA Chairman Abbas’ Fatah Movement highlights its message to youth: That female terrorist murderers are heroes and should be emulated. Fatah’s university student group for women, “Sisters of Dalal,” is named after terrorist Dalal Mughrabi who led the murder of 37 people, 12 of them children.

The five women “fedayeen” [shock troops willing to die] are being hailed were the first women to carry out suicide attacks against Israeli targets. The four in the center of the image carried out attacks in and around Jerusalem during 2002. From left to right, they are: Wafa’ Idris, who died 28 January 2002; Darin Abu ‘Isha, who died 27 February 2002; Ayat al-Akhras, who died 29 March 2002; and ‘Andalib Taqataq, who died 12 April 2002. PA Minister of Women’s Affairs Amal Hamad: “The first women’s committee was on Oct. 26, 1929, in the shadow of the Al-Buraq Rebellion. The mighty rebellion (i.e., Hebron Massacre, 1929) in which great Martyrs died… The mighty rebellion in which the women were partners in the battle of resolve and defiance, and nine female Martyrs died… We don’t think that there is a difference [between the genders] in Palestinian society. Especially in the battle of the national struggle we emphasize going hand in hand. The proof of this is what I said… There were nine female Martyrs.

In 2044, a female Palestinian suicide bomber blew herself up  at the main crossing between Israel and the Gaza Strip, killing at least four Israelis and wounding seven other people. The woman- whom witnesses and Israeli media said was a woman – detonated her bomb in the area where thousands of Palestinian labourers and foreigners pass between Israel and the coastal strip.

Hamas and the Al Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades, linked to Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat’s Fatah movement, issued a joint claim of responsibility. They identified the bomber as Reem Raiyshim, a Gaza woman with two small children, described as a Hamas militant. She appeared to be the first female suicide bomber from the militant Islamic fundamentalist group.
