Lebanese journalist Tony Boulous said in a December 12, 2025 interview on Lebanon Files on YouTube that the Lebanese army now lacks any justification for failing to control all of southern Lebanon and should conduct house-to-house searches for Hizbullah operatives, noting that Hizbullah does not have military barracks and hides operatives, explosives, and missiles inside residential homes.
Boulous stated that the Middle East has clearly changed and that Israel should be considered a neighboring country with which peace must be reached. He said that Lebanon needs an embassy in Jerusalem and that Israel should have an embassy in Beirut, with Israelis allowed to visit Lebanon and vice versa.

There was an article I once read, stating that these populations only continued to exist by unnatural means. Most people, in France, uses the first part of this sentence …
I have no idea where it came from, but it sounds like something that might have started in the Southern part of this country.

I figured it came from the (“Good Ol’ Boy”) south.
It did come from the South.
Mr BNI thinks it was either the TV character Gomer Pyle or Barney Fife (from the Andy Griffith show) who said it. Either way, they are both from the south.
