That’s incorrect. Communism is a socio-economic and political ideology. Atheism is simply the lack of belief in G-ds. Atheism can exist without communism and communism can, in principle, be held by people who are religious. Conceptually, one can not be a denomination of the other in the way that a church is a denomination of Christianity.
