Across social media, new videos are going viral. They show women calmly setting fire to photographs of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei — then using that flame to light a cigarette. The act is deliberate, slow, and unmistakably defiant, becoming one of the boldest protest symbols Iran has seen in years.
In Iran, burning the Supreme Leader’s image is considered a serious crime. For women, smoking in public has long been restricted, discouraged, or socially punished. By combining both acts, these women are rejecting political authority, religious control, and strict social rules in one powerful gesture.

Anyone notice that the cigarette was blocked out. Nude women’s bodies and some sexual pictures are allowed (even homosexual activity), but block out the pornographic cigarette.
I remember watching Sinead O’ Connor rip up a picture of the Polish Pope on TV and I also remember mentioning to everybody that I bet she would not dare to do that to any of those old Rag Heads in Iran.
Now I see these great young Iranian, Persian, women do one better.
I’d imagine the Sunni moslame states really don’t care much what happens to Iran. It’s the defender of the Shiite faith and if it goes down for the count it’ll leave Sunni islam as the undisputed chosen sect of islam.
Is Iraq officially a Shiite state? I’d heard/read that Saddam Hussein represented a Sunni minority ruling over a Shiite majority — kinda the inverse situation of what was going on in the Assad’s dictatorial Syria.
say one thing such courageous bravery displayed by the people they deserve a second amendment backing up their fight for free speech . lessons to be learned here by example of these people by these people disarmed by their socialist governments . watch and learn Europe how it is done the hard way … Defenseless
Most of those living in irene are mohammedans. Be careful of demanding (no “may” in your comment) G-d to be with the worshipers of satan.

Not so long ago ago , the leftist Lt governor of Minnesota Peggy Flanagan decided to wear a hijab to stand with solidarity with her somlian friends . There are questions , such as it appears she doesn’t care about fraud these subhumans committed. I wonder what the Iranian women thought when they are forced to wear a garbage bag on their head or face death ? Peggy here can take it off whenever . Many can’t . We are sick of the religion of peace ! Down with the dictator ! Iran needs to move to the 21st century. Islam needs to move to 21st century. We are sick of you ! We are sick of the Koran , the hijab , CAIR , we have had enough !
Couldn’t have come up with a more defiant symbol of rebellion if I had a week to do it. An unmistakable middle finger (🖕) to the powers that be. Carry on, there, Ms.

I hear the pope is opening a prayer room just for Muslims in the Vatican.

If only the Revolutionary Guards would join the protesters who are tired of being oppressed.
I have read they are starting to.
