All Mamdani had to do was to become the winning bidder, and the property would’ve been his (or the City’s) as the case may be). The court would require 10% down (non-refundable) on the spot, and he would’ve had to come up with the balance within 30 days to complete the deal. The judge’s job is to get as much money for the bankruptcy estate’s creditors, and not to advance the commie motives of New York City’s commie mayor.
