Iranian-born Goldie Ghamari was just a year old when her family fled for Canada in 1986 – seven years after another revolution deposed the Shah of Iran and installed Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini. Raised as a Shia Muslim, Ghamari has, since, converted to Zoroastrianism in her adult life.

In November 2023, Ghamari came under controversy after the Canadian Muslim Public Affairs Council (CMPAC) and the National Council of Canadian Muslims (NCCM) alerted the Ontario cabinet about her social media postings. Ghamari wrote on Twitter that the Muslim prayer “Allahu Akbar” was a safety concern and said that the hijab was a “symbol of the subjugation of women”. NCCM called her comments Islamophobic, saying her posts recycled “dangerous rhetoric” about Muslims and risked fueling hatred.
In October 2025, a short video posted by Ghamari on social media in which she warned Americans that Muslims praying in public were trying to “assert their religious dominance” and “turn [the] country into Sharia law” went viral and was widely criticised. Coverage of the incident in international media described the clip as fueling an Islamophobic row and reigniting debate about anti-Muslim sentiment in Western politics.
Even more infuriating to Muslims is Ghamari’s vociferous support of the State of Israel and especially of the tenure of Benjamin Netanyahu since 2022. She noted that Iran’s lion-and-sun flag—the pre-revolutionary emblem—can be seen prominently at pro-Israel rallies, and the hashtag #IraniansStandwithIsrael trended on social media for days.

Goldie Ghamari explains what a post regime Iran could look like if the Islamic dictatorship falls. She says freedom democracy and peace are finally within reach and believes a future Iran could once again normalize relations with Israel just as it did before 1979. Watch this powerful moment from Jerusalem Dateline as she shares her vision for a free Iran and a new era in the Middle East.
Iran is not a Muslim country. The traditional religion is Zoroasterism, so I’m not surprised at Goldie’s conversion. (Zoroaster is also known as Zarathustra).
Lucky Tommy Robinson.!
Goldie put Cenk in his place. I have respect for ex-Muslims like Goldie who expose the Islamic cult.
I’ve never seen an ex-Muslim online whom I didn’t like.
pleased that you BNI are covering the Iran story !
There are so many conflicting reports, it’s hard to know CV exactly what’s going on where. But I do believe the people will prevail this time, unlike in 2009, when Obama ignored them. And Trump will be a big part of why they do…despite the condemnation he is getting from both sides of the aisle now.
I’m not surprised that Obama didn’t support the people of Iran, especially since he’s Muslim and part of the Muslim Brotherhood. I hope that if Khamenei’s regime falls, people in other Islamic countries will follow Iran’s lead.
I don’t expect that to happen. They’ve been Muslims and Muslim fundamentalist for centuries. Iran used to be very diverse with the main religion Zoroastrian (I think) as well as Muslims, Christians, and a lot of Jews. Women dressed in the latest Western fashions and many were college educated (unlike now).In 1979, after the Shah was overthrown (thanks to help from Jimmy Carter), virtually everyone was forced to follow Islam, the most radical version of it and all their freedoms disappeared.
They better finish what was started, or Khamenei will drop the hammer. He probably has loose bowels, remembering how Trump erased his nuke fantasies. I believe Trump will let Israel, which certainly has a dog in this fight, take over the obliteration of the regime.
I don’t think he will let Israel do it on its own, although no doubt they would like to. It will be a joint effort, if Israel gets involved. But hopefully, the US military can accomplish it on its own…and quickly.
