One can only hope that the Persian/Iranian people, aided and abetted by U.S. and Israeli leaders, will make it possible.

If only, if only it was not that dhimmi Carter who was in power in 1979, who threw the Shah under the bus, all that followed could have been averted. It is too late now. No matter how much the people protest, they will simply be massacred by the religious security agencies. Even if the evil head of state is taken out, there is bound to be one waiting in the wings to take his place. The American public has no stomach for direct involvement in foreign wars, and Iran has played their cards right and seem to have the support of Putin and Xi. All that we can do is ensure that Iran does not implement their designs on Israel, and that they do not fund terrorist organizations.
No one had to throw the Shah under a bus, the man was dying of terminal cancer. He voluntarily left Iran, without appointing a successor, to seek cancer treatment in the USA. He was undergoing cancer treatment when the Islamic Revolution happened and died even as the Ayatrollah and his minions demanded his return to Iran to face execution.
No. Even if the US were able to go in to try to stabilize it, there are too many morons in positions of power (here) who would screw it up like Afghanistan (you know, like allowing Sharia Law into their constitution).
Without outside interference I doubt its possible. Iran is surrounded by other moslame states who I doubt would let it go secular and/or free of Shariah law.
Maybe if someone were to arm the people fighting for their freedom there? Kinda like we armed the members of the French Resistance during WW2?

Rest assured, the US military is preparing to take out the leaders and it will come when you least expect.
I pray you’re right.
I sincerely hope so
