In a world where everything is tracked, the decisive advantage belongs to whomever can choose when not to be seen. Mastery of silence can yield greater dividends than full-scale intervention. As an electronic fog descends, suddenly the enemy fleet is trapped in a smoke-filled hall of mirrors. Its combat effectiveness is severely degraded by a lack of target data, rendering it a blind man wandering in a void. Case in point: Watch how this state-of-the-art U.S. technology has already been used by the USS Abraham Lincoln against an Iranian missile strike:
Radar screens aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln carrier suddenly filled with missile tracks. Iran had launched what it believed would be a decisive strike—one meant to finally prove its long-promised “carrier killer” strategy. It didn’t go the way they planned. In less than four minutes, Iran’s most advanced missile salvo was tracked, jammed, intercepted, and erased—without a single missile getting anywhere near its target. What followed wasn’t just a failed attack, but the total exposure of Iran’s entire naval missile doctrine. Iran believed it had built a weapon to sink American carriers. What it actually built was a system that proved how outmatched it truly was.
Damm this great ship should not hide but to show them how it celebrates new years eve. this ship and the other ones should be firing out of all canons and guns. shoot to kill all and not just a few and the world will be a better place. i was and am impressed to the fire capabillity that America has only it must use it here.
Wow,times have certainly changed since I was in the Navy. (VF2)
Don’t the Iranians also have rocket propelled torpedoes courtesy of Russia?
This YouTube video has the following comment at the bottom: “This is a hypothetical scenario. It did not actually happen.”
YouTube is filled with hypothetical videos, and one has to be careful that they are not receiving misinformation. That notwithstanding, the scenario depicted in the video is more or less exactly how it would play out if Iran attached the Abraham Lincoln (or any other US Aircraft carrier or Naval vessel).
That scenario is not the problem. The problem is that Iran will start launching missiles at Israel, US bases in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and any other such targets. Also, the Houthis will target shipping with their missiles. Iranian ballistic missiles are difficult to intercept. The US defense THAAD (Terminal High Altitude Area Defense) has used up a large proportion of its missiles when Iran let loose a barrage on Israel. Lockheed Martin is now working overtime to replenish the stock, but it is unlikely to affect the instant skirmish.
The US Fleet will be safe from Iranian attack, but the other targets of an Iranian barrage will likely take a few hits. In other words, a small percentage of Iranian ballistic missiles will get through.
It’s real. I’ve read about it on military sites as well. And there is a video showing how it is done but it isn’t shareable.
OUTSTANDING! I was waiting to hear whether the Iranians had tried to make good on their stupid and ever-so-arrogant boasts – and here we learn how the turd-world primitive Islamic people of the middle east will have to seriously grow up and obtain functioning brains before engaging in combat with the folks of the first world!
Proud to have been a Tactical Action Officer during Operation Praying Mantis under Reagan, after the USS Samuel B Roberts hit an Iranian mine in the PG 14 April 1988, only saved by heroic damage control efforts.
18 April 1988, we sunk the Iranian navy in about half a day, were done in time for a leisurely lunch.
God Bless You and thank you for keeping us safe.
Thank you, Bonnie. I’d gladly do it again.
