In Yiddish, Patinkin would be called a “schmuck.”

Hollywood actor, Mandy Patinkin, sparks outage by equating Israel’s retaliatory war against Hamas to the horrors suffered by Jews in the Nazi Holocaust.

TheJudean In this NY Times interview from July 2025, this self-hating Jews claims to support the state of Israel, despite never having showed any support for the Jewish state. Patinkin, who has long used his Jewish heritage as part of his public persona despite identifying as “culturally Jewish” and unaffiliated with the Jewish religion, used this interview to spew a political tirade against the Jewish state and its wartime policies.
Critics immediately accused Patinkin of peddling a “Holocaust inversion”—a dangerous rhetorical device that equates Israel’s military actions to the genocide of European Jewry, thus trivializing the Holocaust and vilifying Jews.
Barry Tigay, a retired psychologist and longtime writer for the Jewish News Syndicate, accused Patinkin of reviving antisemitic tropes: “Shame on Mandy Patinkin for spreading a blood libel and Holocaust inversion against the Jews, Israel, and Prime Minister Netanyahu. Israel is fighting a just war by just means.”
Dahlia Kurtz, a Canadian-Israeli political commentator with over 50,000 followers on “X,” didn’t hold back:
Mandy Patinkin goes full-blown suicidal Jew:
“I ask you Jews all over the world, to spend some time alone and think, is this acceptable.”
I ask you, Mandy, to spend some time alone with some meds, and ask yourself, how you’d stop Hamas from achieving its promise to end Israel. pic.twitter.com/ITDRgOhZUK

Patinkin’s comments are not an isolated incident but part of a decades-long pattern of antagonism toward Israel’s right to defend itself. In 1998, he refused to participate in a celebration of Israel’s 50th anniversary due to disagreements over peace policies. More recently, in 2020, he appeared in a New Israel Fund video opposing Israel’s plan to extend sovereignty in the West Bank. In 2021, he posted a thread on X advocating for “liberation… for the Palestinian people,” claiming Israel was engaged in “a brutal and dehumanizing occupation.”
The actor’s selective memory also omits Hamas’s responsibility for the war’s inception. On October 7, 2023, terrorists from Gaza massacred 1,200 people—mostly civilians—and abducted 251 others in the bloodiest attack on Jews since the Holocaust.

I wish we had more actors like Kirk Douglas now and a lot less of the Mandy Patinkins.
I remember a show this bastard was on in which he was lecturing a moslame terrorist about how he was slandering the peaceful Islamic faith by engaging in terrorism, which nearly made me vomit. That was the last time I watched that TV show, it might have been 24 but I’m not sure anymore.
What a f’ing traitor and yet he still has the right to aliyah.
He wasn’t in 24. You probably mean “Homeland.”
You’re right it wasn’t 24 which starred Donald Sutherland’s son, it was Homeland.
What a sick, sad, depraved world we live in.
Actually it WAS 24 which starred Kiefer Sutherland, not Homeland.
24 was a long time ago, but at least they bothered to present islamic terrorism for what it was, unlike Homeland.
I wonder Patinkin is a hard core Communist? He certainly looks like he would love to head up the American version of the NKVD.
No doubt.
So Patinkin is what is known as a Yiddish anti-Semite..Send himtoGaza so he can kiss the rear enfs of the Hamas killers he so much admired. They should not be allowed to live in civilized countries.
I wish.
Poor Moses was the reluctant leader of 2 million Israelites, many of whom were disobedient, uncooperative schmucks just like Patinkin, and who caused God to.leave them wandering in the wilderness for 40 yrs so the older ones would not enter the Promised Land and multiply.
Yet here we are.
Interesting analogy.
